Man, I gotta get one of these! I don't ever have a need for a truck or tow anything, except when I have to go to the Home Depot to get mulch maybe once a year, but seeing as I have ED, something like this would be just the cure! Plus that interior is so nice, I don't have to get the basic work model (because I'm obviously not going to be using this for work, that's silly!), to have a huge truck to look like a BIG MAN in.
Can't imagine how much space an SUV version of the RAM would offer... (but maybe it exists IDK, properly something about some regulations for Trucks vs SUV´s or?)
@@raymonds7492 We are getting the DS model Through RAM Trucks Australia. The "official" importer. However there are several good import/conversion shops who do high quality conversions. I have seem several DT Limited models in Australia. The conversions are done in Melbourne at RAM Trucks HQ and demand is so strong that they are doing 24hr production. No one thought they would be that popular. We are begging FCA do the truck RHD ex factory.
Fun fact, the 1500 is actually average sized here in the states, wanna see a tank, drive a 2500. With lengths of 22 feet, or 6.7 meters long, and up to several inches higher depending on the brand, and curb weights in the 4 ton range, you start seeing some real monsters. I know Trucks aren't really a thing in Europe, but duallys (trucks with double tires on the rear axle) are downright massive and can tow up to 18.5 TONS. Anyways the ram 1500 was actually designed with the limited first and scaled down to the base models. This is why the truck is more on par with a high end Cadillac or Audi. But these design choices come at a cost to actual capability and durability. The coil rear suspension really hurts the towing/hauling capability as the suspension sinks down way harder than competing leaf springs (and in result lowers the ratings and safe capabilities). The crew cab is honestly colossal if you are trying to get any real work done, and the loss of the regular cab makes work even harder. The big screen in the gauge cluster removes useful gauges the silverado has, and makes you have to menu hunt to see critical data when towing. The big pano sun roof takes a large chunk off payload since its very heavy, and the finer materials on the inside lower the durability of the truck. Now I would buy a ram 1500 if I was buying a half ton since it would be more for daily driving and utility and less about day to day work, but to people who REALLY need a truck for truck things, the silverado is outright the way to go with a much more robust interior design and layout, the rear leaf springs, the bed steps, the wider bed, and offering the most reliable entry level powertrains.

All of the manufacturers have problems. When them problems appear... I’ll drop it and get a new one ..😉😉 . For real Alvaro Morata?? What are u ?!! Like 10 years old or what ...
Ervin Zefi - ahh, I love when you resort to ad hominems instead of facts because you know you can’t win. “All manufacturers have problems” is the same bullshit that Jaguar/Land Rover owners tell themselves every time they go into the shop to make themselves happy. Fiat-Chrysler makes garbage, it’s a fact, why don’t you go do some research before the next vehicle you buy.
@@Koenigjay Like Ervin stated it’s about preference, just cause he likes his vehicle doesn’t mean you gotta talk down to him.
Go hop in your European garbage and tell us when it breaks.
And he is true in saying all manufacturers have problems and not everyone cares.
Fyi I’ve had FCA all my life Dodge, Ram, etc and have had no problems
It’s none of your business about his vehicle nobody wants to know your opinion, especially if your an ass about it.
Im seriously impressed with the features..esp the fact that it uses coil springs at the back because leaf springs r my biggest gripe about pick up trucks.
Leaf springs are far more durable especially when hauling heavy loads all the time
I also love the RAM....more like I'm gonna marry the truck
john waweru - so you love junky vehicles?
Great review! Didn't know my truck has aerodymanics! 9:11
While you are in us do a review on the corvette zr1 2019
Alas, Mat's come back from the States now - but you can expect some more American vids real soon!
@@carwow hey carwow... Love y'all work but, I must ask, why review American Market Only cars? Can you get deals for us here stateside? Can these somehow get imported across the pond? Or is this just kind of a fun little side project?
Cheers from Chicago
This truck took the market by storm with a record breaking 18% sales increase for 2019 and actually passed the Chevy truck in sales for the first time.
Glad I stayed up earliest ever
I moved to Canada from the UK in 2015, never looked back. I bought the 2019 laramie. The beauty of the big spacious trucks, big v8s, big houses and massive roads surrounded by unobstructed view, you can't beat it. Few things to clarify, laramie isn't the highest trim. It's one of the highest, there's longhorn and limited above. Also, it isn't Dodge Ram anymore. It's just Ram. FCA treats rams as separate brand now. Cheers.
3:50 Visor test!
I think Mat got a few pumps in just before the flex intro.
“Hi everyone Martin here from Carlisle”
Subtitles smh 🤦♂️
I got carlis lego
😂😂😂😂
Zakariya Ahmed stole my comment 😭
@@shreddedlittle you dont own subtitles
can you imagine how happy/excited Hammond would have been reviewing these trucks??? he is a secret American anyway 🤣🤣🤣
Why does he keep flexing? Mat🤦🏾♂️
Matt and Carlos = the best combo 🙌🏻
Like how they've wiped the mpg on the display 🤣
Gets about the same as any big truck with a V8, 15 to 20 depending on driving conditions.
@@traitoR142 I got about 18 mpg avg on a RAM Rebel. I am not a fan of trucks this big. Rather drive a SS Camaro if i wanted a v8.
Carlos is one of the few cool guys from the old school magazine days. The original generation before it all changed.
Love the (cowboy) longhorn version of this. Looks absulute epic inside and out :D
8:03 "Mud on the back of my jeans"
I absolutely relate to this.
4:39 That’s the taco holder
Wow Mats been reviewing a lot of American cars lately. We haven't had this much praise since Hammond!
Matt Wants a RAM! I think RAM should give you one for the Great Review!
He expresses surprise about the moving pedal box, but my 2004 Nissan Titan has that.
Thats a nice camera resolution on the back up camera actually lol. Damn Ram!
Own the Same truck in2020 in Blackout Love it only 1800 miles so far. Also a 2015 Ram 1500 67000 miles never a problem.
Wow! Doug wouldve wasted my 12 minutes talking about the infotainment system
Look at the accelerator pedal wobble as it is being moved @3:35. Quality manufacturing.
Make a rolce royce phantom 2019 review please mat
Yes these things are LUXURIOUS! I test drove a top of the line Ram 1500 Long Horn edition with cream interiors and cream color wood, MAN! That thing was AMAZING BUT! more than $70K !! No thanks! I´ll wait 3 years to buy a used 2020 Ram, these prices are Absolutely INSANE! and still many people buying!
RICHARD RAMMOND PART 2!!!
♥️♥️♥️
I just love your videos, I had to watch 3 advertisements to watch the complete video and I may never buy these cars that you show.. But the content is so addictive that I am hooked, keep on the good work ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
"looks super strong" damn matt got some guns on him
I hope you did the Ram 2500 with the Cummins powertrain. 😊
Matt needs to drive the new Lincoln's
Matt is the only car reviewer I can watch his entire video... he talks straight to the point.
00:25 HAWT!🔥🔥
A worthwhile point to bring up is that the crash-test of these beasts improved a ton. It's a top safety pick + on iihs
"The trailer part..."
Wtf mat?
Man, I gotta get one of these! I don't ever have a need for a truck or tow anything, except when I have to go to the Home Depot to get mulch maybe once a year, but seeing as I have ED, something like this would be just the cure! Plus that interior is so nice, I don't have to get the basic work model (because I'm obviously not going to be using this for work, that's silly!), to have a huge truck to look like a BIG MAN in.
When is the 3 Million special coming??
Extra sticky??
Can't imagine how much space an SUV version of the RAM would offer... (but maybe it exists IDK, properly something about some regulations for Trucks vs SUV´s or?)
When I saw the title, I thought it was a f350
Nope fords are basic bitch vehicles
They just delivered the 5,000th RAM 1500 in Australia.
really? the current gen?
@@raymonds7492 We are getting the DS model Through RAM Trucks Australia. The "official" importer. However there are several good import/conversion shops who do high quality conversions. I have seem several DT Limited models in Australia. The conversions are done in Melbourne at RAM Trucks HQ and demand is so strong that they are doing 24hr production. No one thought they would be that popular. We are begging FCA do the truck RHD ex factory.
@@Ozgrade3 oh cool.
🔥🔥🔥 Rolls Royce of pickups or not, I love F 150 Raptor!! 🔥🔥🔥
I realy want to see the Opel Corsa C 1.8 GSI in a drag race.
Carwow you are the best.
Mercedes X Class is the Rolls Royce of pickups!😂
I mean, it literally has "class" in the name...
carwow true
carwow I have no clue about rams and chevys I’m a Holden man
What with a little diesel engine? Nah
The RAM is much more luxurious and powerful than the rebadged Nissan.
This is the only vehicle which ticks all the check boxes of Carwow.
I love this truck. Try Dodge Ram Long Horn
The Laramie isn’t the highest, the Limited is
They called the Laramie a mid trim in the video.
Car wow would be nothing without this guy...he's the "rolls royce" of this channel
Interior looks really like a volvo🧐🤔
nope, not even close, this thing is wayyyy wayyyy wayyyyyyyy better
If only we could get this truck in Europe
Nobody:
90% of the comments: I've never been this early
Wait....we get the privilege of watching a car review with Matt Watson AND Larlos Cargo?! Amazing!!
"Hi everywan mat Watson here"
Me: oh god get in there!
3:46 Who on earth adjusts his seats like this ? XD
Italians HAHAHAHAHAHA
Love the American car reviews keep it up 😀👍
