Trey, I am still amazed that anglers still don't use backing. When fire line and spider wire came out. Instructions came in the box. Thanks again Trey🎣☮️😎
I’m starting to switch to 131 from 832 on my flip/punch/frog rods. 131 comes in 150yd spools. If I split the spool between 2 reels do you think 75 yards is enough line on each reel? I always use Big Game as backing material.
I heard there was a person that went through two spool holes with their braid, tied a knot, went fishing. Who would have ever thought?
Exact same advise goes for spinning reels.. but you wouldn't know that 😅
@@PunchFishing lol nope! But yes same thing better be puttin that backing on spinning reels!
Love the bass map in the background! I always use backing, even with fluorocarbon.
@@tobywonkinoby8916 thanks.. yea it’s just something simple
And always make sure the knot is in the middle of the spool....great info Trey!

I never used backing on braid for 15 plus years never had a problem, it's the way you the your knot on the spool!
Great tip Man 👏
@@billcoerver4583 thanks man
I'm surprised this isn't common knowledge yet.
@@stldavid either guys just forget to do it or just don’t know any better especially if they are new to fishing..
