  • Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid - KNOX review with Chris Moss
    Yamaha has a new dual-purpose adventure bike, the Ténéré 700 World Raid. We went to ride it at its press launch in southern Spain on both on and off-road routes.
    We then had the good fortune to get another one back in the UK, taking it for a quick 350-mile spin on more familiar roads.
    As the trend for adventure bikes getting bigger, more powerful and complex marched on (as it still does), back in 2019, Yamaha chose to go down a different route with its Ténéré 700. With just 72bhp, and a simpler, relatively tech-light design, it was aimed at the adventurer who wanted to ride more off-road. It’s a niche segment of the class, but the bike still sold well. To further that off-road suitability even more, there’s a new version of the bike, the upgraded Ténéré 700 World Raid model.
    With its upgraded suspension, a bigger fuel tank and a bit of extra bling, does the Tenere 700 live up to expectations, watch to find out!
    For the full spec of the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid, check here - www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/pro.... To organise a test ride and buy one, check out Hunts Motorcycles on huntsmotorcycles.co.uk/.

    Absolutely brilliant review its good to see some honesty about the issues on the bikes for once that exhaust hanger is a lash up an it matters if it snaps off, also when it bends it can wreck the swing arm from what ive heard. Its a bike im really considering at the moment.
    Gets a bit tiring of the bike companies not adressing issues my dad an i rejected 2x 390s riddled with issues an people are still having the same probs 2 years on
    Would have been interesting to see the crash damage to the bike thats the reality when its dropped.

    Thank you for the📽 Video. Unfortunately as I wrote on his video. No commentaries on. The Windshield been small and not adjustable, Quick shift gear change , heated grips, Cruise control, the word you guys missed Plush front suspension. The factory seat. How good is it for the looong ride ? Does the 💰price really justify the buy ?

    Great review, always get a honest opinion from mossey.
    As for the armoured shirt in question.is there adequate or any upcoming features which would help in the case of an accident on the inside crease of the elbow/forearm.whereby the arm has severed the main arteries, resulting in a stroke.
    If in any way my unfortunate situation could help others in the future.
    Id like to be of any help
    Best regards and keep the Content coming 👍

      Many thanks. The urbane pro shirt has fabrics that are approved for abrasion and tear resistance but the inside of the arm is normally a less of a priority due to movement and less injuries generally speaking in that area. On the ither hand the knox Honister which has approval to AAA is stronger in that area. Hope thay helps. Aaron Knox

    Turkey is just as far from Scotland/ Cumbria as the Sierra Nevada, if you use the ferries, Portsmouth (or Cork) to NW Spain, Barcelona - Rome, Rome - Bari, Bari - Turkey, short hops,with big rests on the boats, what a holiday should be! Leave your bike in Spain, and fly home,on the return, nice warm winter storage, and Xmas transport for only €19/mth,Alicante area!

      Question to both of you, besides fixing the wobble, do you feel the steering damper is a good upgrade for the 701? Depends on use I guess, but I’ve never tried a steering damper before, but I’ve now ordered one to try it out and eventually make a video sharing my experience with one. Thanks!

    • @ausforce1
      @ausforce1 Год назад

      @@JohannesDalen I think it is a must for the 701! Trust me the wobble is real and it occurs everytime like clockwork! Also worth while for offroad as you can set it to help with sandy tracks and deep ruts .

    so thank you guys for the vid and sorry to yamaha, i do want a light tourer but this aint for me!

    After riding my f800gs, which weighs slightly less and has slightly more horsepower, I can tell you straight up that 73hp is not nearly enough. Tiger 900 and Africa Twin, albeit slightly heavier, are the superior commuters.

    • @michaelhayward7572
      @michaelhayward7572 Год назад +2

      Stick to commuting then. I would not class a T7 as a class leading commuter. On tarmac.
      As a 50/50 on/off road bike or something to ride to central Africa/Mongolia it would eat both bikes you mentioned for breakfast.
      Off road?
      I'd say 160 kgs and 50 bhp is damn near perfect, let alone 73.
      Best you stick to tarmac boi.

    • @joe90h34
      @joe90h34 Год назад +1

      Find it odd that people buy adventure bikes for commuting. Good thing with the Yamaha if you are doing this is engine reliability compared with the bmw

    • @FernitoAM
      @FernitoAM Год назад

      @@joe90h34 why? I'd like to know your point of view.
      I believe they are:
      Comfortable, lots of lugagge options, good weather protection, good power, decent fuel comsuption, tall > good view ahead. Mirrors typically higher than car mirrors > filtering
      I believe adv bikes are actually perfect commuters.
