Thank you all for watching. The Heritage Audio Tubesessor is NICE! In this video, we look under the hood of the Heritage Audio Tubesessor. Check it out here: sweetwater.sjv.io/0ZPA5R
Really, man it's a sweet piece of gear. I'm pushing it through lots of instruments and I'm like whoa 👀. You are welcome bro and thanks for stopping by 🙌🏾🙏🏾
Which attack and release settings would you say will work smoothly with a male pop tenor type vocals? Since I used to do 10-20ms attack and 40-70ms release time on plugins. But the tubesessor release number go from 0.05ms to 10s in between 19 steps!?!?!? It just doesn’t make sense to me
Great video!!!... Best review I've seen so far on Tubesessor!!!.... Preshade it bro!!!!.... This will certainly help me with my decision on a new optical compressor!!!!.....
Great video Archie Beatz . I want to see this compared to the CL-1B . I wonder if Seth Firkins would approve? ? That New Neve 1073 Spx looks nice too !
Everybody else who uses the CL1B is calling this a flop because it’s not transparent, has too much tube saturation (breaks apart, not a lot of headroom). It’s a compressor but it’s nowhere near the CL1B in terms of quality
Ya know, Ive never thought about it til now, but I feel like it's a disadvantage to have an eq on a preamp if you're going to run into a compressor after. I like to eq after compression, especially if the tracks getting tube saturation, because I'd rather make cuts to a saturated signal, than try to rethicken a signal that's had cuts taken out. Unless you're trying to control how the comp is reacting to the signal I guess... I know it's an age old debate, but that's my thought on the matter. Can you use the eq circuit as an insert on that specific neve or is it locked to the preamp? It's a rare feature but really nice to have for stuff like this
Great video! But that female vocal example was SUPER phasey sounding; I’m assuming from slightly too much Melodyne / Time-Stretching… lots of artifacts. BUT! I’d like to hear that same vocal in a mix because it probably sounds brilliant ❤
I don't know why but I really just didn't think vox sounded very good through this compressor. Maybe I just didnt like the performer. I don't know. Did you use the unit for the whole video? here was some weird dynamics I though when listening on consumer macbook pro speakers
I took it a little extreme to show the audible difference and extreme capabilities. In no way this would be the approach in a release or mix. Thanks for commenting!
That female, vocal part was recorded terribly bad. She has a nice voice, but man the high end on that it’s just all over the map. You’re not gonna get any piece of hardware fair chance if you’re using that as a source

I love mine!! Running it with the Shelford channel and U87… chefs kiss 👨🏽🍳
Killer combination!

How does it sound with your Lauten audio Eden or Atlantis?
I'm pushing the Atlantis through it this weekend. Standby 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@archiebeatzcan't wait hopefully I get the notification thanks for the response
I heard that unit has to much saturation is that true

Amazong vocal take! Can you make a video about how you mixed the song at the start( vocal take, omni or cardioid, eq, reverb…) ?

Yep. The Neve 1073 SPX has an send/return insert, so you have the option to insert another piece of hardware pre or post EQ
Shout out to sweeterwater!!! I watched your episode and you made the community proud
Fire 🔥
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Just ordered mine a couple hrs ago

See it in your studio month ago wait for you to drop the video
Yes, I put things to the audio test for about 2 weeks to a month before doing a video. 🙌🏾
Thinking of the Manley elop plus instead
Nice. I haven't check that one out yet. Let me know your thoughts if you get it.
This or IGS Tubecore? 😮

BRO, FEMALE SOUNDS LIKE BRANDY. IS THIS A AKA CL1B? CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR TAKE ON THE WA CL1B

The female vox was a really nasty recording, not smooth sounding at all.
a bit harsh on female vocals

My man just drop Joe song like that 🔥🔥🔥
Hahahahaha, thanks bro!
Female singer was amazing
Man, I know right. She's a beast.

Not my type of comp
