The world we live in is facing an unprecedented situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. For the LGBT+ community, four walls are not always what makes them feel at home and welcomed - especially if they're sheltering in hostile homes with families that reject their sexual orientation or gender identity, or might be being ignored or exposed to hate speech.
To mark today's International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT), we're inviting everyone to become a shelter for those in the LGBT+ community who suffer discrimination and struggle to find comfort in their families and social circles. We can all provide a safe and welcoming space. We can all be someone’s home - on 17 May, and everyday.
