Question on the first tribe card you put into your hand. Could I have discarded the tribe instead of putting it into my hand. keeping my hand empty? I though actions were optional. Also I thought Tribal Expansion allowed you to discard the card you just drew even if your hand is empty. A marked tribal card you can use as followed: A) Place in Your personal display if You can pay the cost B) take to your hand if you have no hand card C) discard the card Even if hand is empty D) do nothing (the card stays where it is)
I really like How to Play videos, I don't know why publishers don't do it for each game; even if they can't pay the pros, anyone can film a decent quality video. But one part I find unnecessary in these videos is the setup part and that is because it does not matter how many times you see the video, you will always need to go through the rules book as a checklist to setup the game... Having the time stamps really helps though..
Good review: couple of things and you probably know this already So forgive me for being Captain obvious. The link to the game boy website is not mobile device friendly. Also you mentioned in video about a link/site to submit questions, I don’t see that link. Your website lists all the games you have created tutorials but doesn’t not offer a Q&A feature. I’m assuming the boardgame geek link in this video description is what you’re referring to, but maybe you need to create a link that goes straight to the question forma boardgame gate instead of the homepage of the game. Thank you so much for the effort you have put into this.
Hi Greg! Sorry about forgetting to put that link there! I have updated it but here it is: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/118048/targi Yes the website is mostly searchable and sortable tables of all the games I've reviewed or done rules schools on. But if you have questions, the link will bring you to the BGG page with my video on it so the publisher will get a notification if a question is asked. Thanks Dan
I needed a refresher and this was really helpful - thanks Dan!
Thanks Rodney! The master watching another person teach you is probably not easy :)
Rules school is hands down THE best how to play series!! Thank you for being so succinct and on point!! Killer video bud!!
Wow thanks Eric! Here is a playlist of all 200+ of them! ruclips.net/p/PLSn1bMZH_6Q2mmkGNOEGz-LVJ95fdVMcl
Such a great game and Andy Steiger is such a nice person
I’m surprised you didn’t explain the most confusing Border card “Fata Morgana”
Same. Would love an explanation of the Fata Morgana card.
Really good tutorial. I spent 2 decades teaching and you have 'the knack' down. Just watch sometimes when the cadence books a little fast. ;)
Great guide, thanks, mate
You’re welcome!
Great overview, Dan!

Thanks Harry I’m glad it helped!
Love this game so much!

Klingon Targi
It seems so complicated and fiddly for a two-player game; I despair. Who can keep track of all this abstract stuff?
