Quick clarification: In the video, it’s shown that you can chain dice manipulation with the yellow guild action, but page 14 says the yellow guild must be completed before or after a chain, and not during.
Played this for the first-time last night. I wanted to make sure we got it right. Your video pointed out some important things we missed. Thank you for the excellent content.
This looks so awesome! Even though Tarrant is really good in explaining the rules, it's a lot to keep track of! So I'm going to watch this video a couple times and then the playthrough of Shem and Sam. Hopefully I will manage to learn, haha! 😃👍🏻
Excellent video! I haven't played it yet, but I will try it with four. I'm intrigued about the fact that you can take cards that have workers placed by other players and add them to your stock. Sort of a bonus, like the coins on roles in PR.
UPDATE: played this with my family and despite all my preparations, we ran into a few head-scratching walls just when momentum was building. Two of us were intrigued, two less so. There's a feeling of plenty (so much to do!) but also looseness about the design, esp with influence. I will definitely take another crack at it to see if I get it.
Hi I have a question about a thing i am not I understand properly. Hope u can help me and hope u understand me For the blue and the yellow cards, on the back, it is printed that u can either spend a provision or have a pigeon to get the 3 first card and chose one. There is also the same action in the slot closer to those decks doing the same but paying 3 provision and placeing a meeple, so what is the advantage of placing the worker and paying 3 provisions when u can have the same effect just paying one or having a pigeon
The action is the same but triggered in different ways. If you place a dice that allows you to gain a land or water card but you don't like the available 4, you can trigger it. Or, the same action can be triggered by placing a worker. There are times when you will have dice but no workers and vice versa.
I have a similar question. How does a player have an extra pigeon asset at 16:19? Is it because the dice they used for the action also had an unused pigeon asset?
Played once and that was enough. Theme is almost non-existent, actions are too abstract and just plain snooze-fest. There are countless icons to learn. Will never play again.
Amazing video, thanks so much team. As always, very well explained Tarrant!
Hiiii Sam! Thank you so much mate, great game, so thanks to you! :)

Hi Jason, thank you! I'm sure it won't be that long till it goes to the market :)
Amazing explanation, thanks! Just one teeny tiny question: can I place a water card on another water card, or reorganize them?

Yes, like, you want to do the action, but potentially giving opponent extra worker. Thank you for your kind words!
