I used to frequent a bar that Tyler played at regularly. He often played with Arthur Hancock (formerly of The Wooks) late nights after the booked band had already packed up and left. Arthur loves Robert Earl and the two of them usually played a lot of REK, John Prine and Townes Van Zandt covers. It was pretty special time.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been a fan of Robert Earl Keen for at least 20 years now and a fan of Tyler Childers since discovering him about 6 months ago. This performance was amazing. Hope to see them work together more in the future.
I wasn't there but wish I had been. I've watched this video an obscene amount of times. It makes my heart happy. Thank you for capturing it for those of us who couldn't be there. ❤
Ugh. Tyler sang down low with town mountain earlier in the night. Such an amazing tune. Love it. Makes ya feel just right. Would have been a great concert to attend.
Thank you for posting! Watched live stream and was blown away by this! Too bad they took the stream down, probably gonna release it on DVD if that’s still a thing? I was in the crowd for this song, as well as all the songs on los #3 dinner by REK!
The drummer is killing me. That beat is off. You can see REK trying to fit the song to it at the beginning. After 30 secs or so it's fine, but that beginning it killing me.
@@michellepeterson7700 The 2nd guy singing is Tyler Childers. I've seen Town Mountain. That's not Robert Geer sing. You'd know his voice as soon as you heard it.
Ben Carrier - Robert Earl Keen sings first, Robert Greer from Town Mountain sings second, then Tyler Childers sings 3rd. Then REK sings a couple more verses before Tyler finishes the song. Not sure if you missed the beginning of the video, but I assure you that is Robert Greer singing.
can't top Robert Earl Keen, sad he is leaving the road, incredible songwriter
Buddy, have I got some GREAT news for you!
My goal in life: be as happy as that dude playing the shakers

Awesome! REK passing the touch to a worthy heir! Excellent!
I want to hear Tyler sing Choctaw bingo!!!!!!!!! ..Anyone else?
I know James McMurtry wrote it but I like hearing Ray Wylie's version better. I'd like to hear him and Tyler do it as a duet.
This might be my favorite video ever. Legend and one in the making.

Great grab Brandi!
Maracas man looks like he got some VIP seat upgrade with the stipulation of a 4x4 square to be on. He wins!
That's the way it's done.
It's a hoedown. WOO HOO !!!
Who was that mandolin player he's phenomenal
@@henryfountain614 Thank you I'll definitely be sure to look him up
Robaet Earl Keen, Town Mountain and Tyler Childers yet the person holding the entire tune down was Maraca Man near the drummer.
What is that a back up guittal? Guittaline
Who is the dude in the Stetson?
Robert Greer of Town Mountain
🎉
Who is that singing with Tyler and REK
Robert Greer has the best voice
Who's the badass on the ukulele looking thing
Great stuff! Sped up tempo works!

Good version, the right tempo, but the soundman should have sorted out the fucking drum microphones.
Should have had billy strings doin a solo would have kicked but
The drummer is killing me. That beat is off. You can see REK trying to fit the song to it at the beginning. After 30 secs or so it's fine, but that beginning it killing me.
Shake

33 people need help!
Tyler Childers and a bunch of overweight old men hoping the party never ends...
Dont be jealous. You'll find happiness too one day.
Just keep living. You'll get old one day too, if you're lucky and you'll still want to enjoy life.
a half dozen of the best musicians in the biz 🤣🤣
Tyler is gold .. red headed beauty
Who is the second guy that sings?
Michelle Peterson Robert Greer from Town Mountain. They were the opener. Check them out; they’re great!
He's really good. I'll check them out.
