The First Lady described reminds me of my wife sister
She was a free spirit who loved people and water better than anything else
She was a great person and unfortunately she made a bad decision to take a midnight dip in the lake and she never came back out in her own
She is so deeply missed we all love you Vic Vic
You were one of a kind!!!

REK lives in my town out in the TX Hill Country, and every July he puts on a great show - FOR FREE! - for all the local folks. We jam and sing along and this is usually his closer and there’s nothing sweeter than being down by the Guadalupe and singing along with all your friends; with the whole town, in fact.
    And then the fireworks. .
We love him and he is our “local hero”! He participates in a LOT of stuff for charities, etc. and he gives it his all, every. Time.
    We love you, REK!

Saw him recently in the greeting card aisle at our local HEB. A few days later I parked I pulled into a spot in the same parking lot and next to me was Kinky Friedman loading the back of his old truck with dog food. God bless Kerrville.

i love rek and this is an awesome song. but i was thinking, sonny was being arrested for drug dealing, and would have gotten several years. shari shoots and kills the arresting officer, sonny willingly gives her the money and tells her to blame him. he gets the death penalty and she gets a new luxury car. shari is a walking disaster and men should stay away from girls like her. i feel bad for sonny.
    maybe im over thinking this.
