@@lizadivine3785 that would have been done by ANY judge in her position. Yes anyone who lost a family member or had a family member injured is justified in feeling angry. But in reading 76 counts onto the record if the gallery were open to scream out comments the court reporter would have never been able to do her job. There is a reason for the need to follow the rules of decorum in a courtroom. The spectators were warned before Judge Dorow read the verdicts that there were to be no outbursts in the gallery. That warning comes before EVERY verdict in EVERY courtroom in America is read. That had absolutely NOTHING to do with the defendant and his dignity (or lack there of). Those are the rules and I believe this Judge did everything in her power to keep this record very clear. Everything was done above and beyond to protect this community and the victims of this animal from having to relive this on appeal. We know for absolute certainty that the defendant will try to appeal the verdict but I believe that the Judge and the prosecution did everything in their power to shield the whole community from having to go through this again. Hopefully the appeal will not be granted. You should give that judge a break she just lived through the hardest 16 days of her career to protect the process without losing her cool. Keeping a level head and following the law. That is how every judge in America should act. I have great respect for Judge Dorow. She deserves it.

Brooks brings new perspective on the term 'malignant narcissist'. I've never seen a mass-murderer so self-pitying and tiresomely pathetic, trying to gain sympathy when his actions are entirely of his own making.
He should have been locked away for life without parole (at minimum) over a decade ago when he was pimping out and raping minors.
This was a just verdict all around and the victims of this deliberate massacre deserve all possible healing and joy in their lives henceforth. God bless them.
But there is a rot at the core of out justice system that imprisons non-violent drug offenders for years while psychopathic scum like this are released with slaps on the wrist. That's not equity or reparations, that's a gross miscarriage of justice that needs solving immediately.

My heart sincerely goes out to all the families and while I live in a different country I think that most families around the world have have seen this, and while still to this day I do not understand how a man whom a Judge had said that with his history of breaking the law, hurting people and even Shooting at his own family member with a stolen firearm the Judge had said that a 50.000 dollar cash bail was actually probably a bit low but still, somehow he was let out of jail on a 1000 dollar bond and now 6 people are sadly gone and many others injured and more importantly probably thousands including law enforcement will struggle with the mental side of this for years to come, but in saying this I have also been privy on the Internet to see some very good people who stood together and helped each other and I even heard that the community had even approached people who helped even with the court case and asked the D.A if they needed anything or could they help and not because of the court case just a community of great people and the fact that the D.A made the decision to not allow children to be put on the stand I mean seriously what can anyone say?? If more people and community's stood together like these people the world would simply be a better and safer place god bless the people of Waukesha.

Agree that he is straight nuts. He rejected the original plea defense of having mental illness due to his gradiosity. That was the only thing that would have granted leniency to what turned out to be a 100% guilty conviction. A retrial could address his competency to represent himself but it is probably too due to the horrendous nature of his crimes. Whether or not he is insane stands alone compared to the extreme pain and suffering he has caused to many and the senseless loss of precious human lives forever.

Wow, 6 life sentences plus 859 years of confinement!
Considering a life sentence is a minimum of 25 years.
That makes the total time of the sentence to be:
    6(25)+ 859 = 1009
Wow, 1009 years! Not even the mundane life of a tree, from seedling to full height, could live through that. Only the Devil could live through that and to Mr.Brooks dismay of making a deal of that masacre with him, only the Devil will and he won't. 👩‍⚖

I think this judge did a great job. He did not deserve this judge. I feel that this defendant really needed a strong male presence in the person of the judge. I think the trial may have gone more smoothly because there would have been more respect. He doesn't respect women that is obvious. I am not surprised at his behavior at all because he is bratty and needs correction big time
