Yes. Every one of the witnesses seemed like good people. The prosecution was shrewd to as much as possible use uninjured witnesses to avoid re-traumatizing people. It was Brooks who called the man with a ruined leg who needed an interpreter, whose livelihood he has destroyed. I think he called him just because he knew he could cause more chaos than ever with the extra person (interpreter) involved. The two young guys (one whose home he dumped the SUV at, the other who gave him hospitality) were so radiantly innocent they didn’t even realise when he was accusing them of having base motives for testifying.
They have the constitutional right to face their accusers. Darrell Brooks exercised that right;but when his accusers got on the stand,he realized that all the evidence pointed towards his guilt.
I have seen the uncut video of this incident and it is truly horrific, how he can plead not guilty. He ran right over so many people. Why didn't he stop? How can anyone do what he did I don't understand.
