Retired railroad engineer... gotta love that horn!!!!
Its pretty loud
When it comes to safety, loud is good 👍 making sure everyone at the site can hear when you about to move and are therefore safe isn't being obnoxious 👌🇦🇺
How cool is it when your mom drives a huge truck. I would have been in heaven having my mom drop me off in a dump truck when i was a kid!
LOVE the train horn! Also super neat seeing how it stretches out like that! Great video as always, congratulations again on going into business for yourself! Stay safe out there :)
Thanks! You too!
I noticed the train horn between the frame rails on the last video and wondered how long it would be before we got to hear it, never expecting that it would come in the very next video! I agree with all of the other comments, Love it! Make sure when you are back in that pit to give it a LONG blast every time you move!
So what u name the truck????
Train horns are the best! Also looks like the reach locks need rebuilt.
They do. It’s in the list.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver that train horns is loud very sick train horns i love how loud they are
Can you just grease them a bunch to work them to be looser?
@@jeff82chevy if bushings are out or severely worn, no amount of grease will help. It needs rebuilt, even the air canisters possibly need to be redone or replaced.
Love the train horn!
Retired locomotive engineer, might have heard that "noise" once or twice!
Also the sleeping people who lived in the little "One Train Crossing" town.
Hope your work negotiations are finalized quickly. Hope your Magic Midnight Mechanic can get the Reach working the way you'd prefer.
I think it might be a good idea for you or your hubby to install maybe a normal city type horn for things like this with it's own button...that said the train horn is impressive!
In the 70s I worked as a weigh master in Cal quarry we had 988 cat loaders with 10 yd buckets, now there even larger. Loading out 32 or more double bottom hoppers for an atomic plant. Turn around was1 1.2 hours and here they are again. Moisture content and breakage from handling were of primary concern. Blue granite rock quarry. One day driller called down and told me to get all employees down in dry river bed with dump beds up for protection. Went back to the scale and just as I climed the 3 steps, blast went off. Hearing loud secondary noise, opened door to scale house a rock the size of a basketball had came through the roof, ceiling, broke the arm off my desk chair, and made a big dent in the floor. This happened 2 steps in the door, and I was holding outside handle. Needless to say that this was the first time rock had come so far. After that I stayed waaayy out in the riverbed during shots!
That train horn was some funny shit 😂 On the fuel prices , basically they are gonna get passed on, raising costs down the line. I haul fuel, and wonder if we’re going to need to start packing a side arm like the armored car drivers .
Train horns are awesome!!!
You are the prettiest dump truck driver out there!! Keep on trucking 😉
love that cute little smile we get every once and a while
Anti seize on the s cam and the pin on your reach can do wonders for sticky reaches
Man this is one organized and profitable trucking company
Really enjoy all your videos. I hope you guys don’t have to suffer too long with all these fuel issues! Hope you are having a wonderful day, stay safe!
I worked in a quarry in Cupertino Ca. It has a one honk for forward and a double honk for reverse policy that was implanted after someone was run over that was in a drivers blind spot. It was a pain at first but became Second nature after a while. If you got caught not doing it, it could result in a fine or permanently removed from the facility for repeated non compliance. This was for all vehicles, you also have to wear a hardhat, safety vest, safety shoes and use a chock if you get out of your vehicle.
The whole train horn scenario is hilarious!!!🤣 Love the channel. As a bull hauler, the gogo girls won't load if you don't have a Choo choo.
Cool seeing some local on RUclips. One of my fondest memories as a child was my neighbor taking me for a ride to the quarry in his dump truck and then a ride in the loader to fill up the truck. I think that is what ignited my love of heavy equipment.
Love The train horn!!You are an outstanding young lady!Kudos to you and your husband for being supportive on you do what your doing because obviously you are doing it wonderful!!God Bless from California!
Just what I needed. A hot woman explaining exactly what I had no clue how to do. Been looking for the better part of an hour to be taught this strategy. I was missing the hammer! Thank you. Pup and truck back together again.
They wanted a horn in the pit and good on ya you over delivered. It may even become your trademark. Those reach pins have a way of reminding you to get to us soon. Our costs are a moving target but we will blunder forward.
great video ..... fuel going up everywhere. remember use your horn when moving. ( hear plugs) lol it's loud 1.85 liter in Canada Ontario and going up again tonight
The loader operator in the first minute or two knew how to run a scale in the loader to properly load your truck and pup absolute great job as professional as a loader operator as You Are a truck driver thank you for showing professionalism at the highest
7 For All Mankind "A" Pocket Jeans...Good choice!
Looking good 👍
Thanks!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver no problem 😊
Those horns are great, lol! I hope with the fuel prices going up doesn't shut you down or causes you to put all your efforts on hold as an owner. 🙏🙏🙏
Just incredible the length of them drawbars
Great videos just started watching them. Glad to see women getting into trucking.
The new company I drive for has a last year T800 before DEF, its Cummins 565, first time I've ever drove a T800, first time I've drove a gravel truck that has power LOL Never drove a KW in my life till this week. Picked up a load in the T800 the pit put 17.5 tons in the box off I went. Truck handled it like a dream hardly knew I had a load on. I was a little overloaded, a tandem axle is only legal for 14.8 ton. Been hauling heavy for years no highway scales, gravel trucks are always heavy. Grossing 62,400lbs is pretty safe, we've got 10% grades here barely touched the brakes grossing 63,000lbs.
Wow very nice audio 🎤 /video when outside of the truck to check the reach Niqi, I jus got back to US after 32hr flight, 5 changes, noticed the prices of wellllll...everything HOLY SMOKES!!! I dread filling up my pickup, GAWDDD my rig, may have to get a loan on fuel hahaha....an my daughter already says "who's going to be able to afford to go to concerts even, even afford a roll of toilet paper vs. a gallon of gas at $5.00 dad??" "All I can say is wellllll....see?"An I have already heard that tanks on trucks are being siphoned Niqi, cars tanks are being drilled underneath into buckets 🪣So watch out!
Good luck with the negotiations, looking like these prices and associated cost are here for a while.
Informative video. We don’t run dump truck and trailer combos like that in my area, interesting how that system works.
Thanks for showing the trailer reach. I was curious of how they worked. We don't run them behind dump trucks in this area. Also noticed the seat "noise" was missing, bet your glad of that. Take care and be safe.
Hey there. I understand you are increasing your axel length for weight distribution can you explain just how that works. Like loaded and short what your weight is compared to long. One other question you mentioned going to Juneau for the holidays to visit relatives. What is their name? My neighbor and his girlfriend were born and raised there and were asking when I told them about this pretty kick ass dump truck driver that I watch her videos. That pretty kick ass driver is you my dear. I really admire your work ethic and watching you do your job. Some women talk the talk but you actually walk the walk. Hats off to you. I have a lot of respect for you Mrs. D
That train horn was awesome and it’s cool to see how you stretch out the trailer Tongue never see. That before
Yep the cost of higher fuel gets covered eventually. The reach lock aircans, it might be that you don't have the proper air presure.
I don’t think that’s a thing. They are probably original from 98. They just need to be replaced.
lol, ya tried to warn em, love that horn!
I have tried owner driver, never made any money. Best thing is drive for someone. Good luck! From Australia.
Thanks for taking the time to chat on g&s trucking live and if u ever get another dump truck and need a driver I would definitely come and bring the family to join u
Haha thanks!
Never seen a trailer like that and I have been around dump trucks most of my life! Very cool to see thanks for sharing!
On the road again yeah buddy 😎 glad you got your truck back in running condition and be safe out there Young lady 💐 oh noticed that the right side tail light is a amber color oh a train horn 📯
That guy running the loader sure knows his stuff.
He’s got scales on the loader , no big deal
I mean she asked for 14 and 18, and got 13 and 18
Very beautiful video I pull end and I never knew you could slide the reach like that
You should try putting your trailer axle down before stretching out , or stretch when empty. The trailer I had like that was temperamental when loaded the down pressure on the tongue would bind the reach. Putting the axle down first helped and I would look for terrain features like dropping into a wheel wash or whatever would relieve some tongue weight and stretch there.
The other thing I was thinking is, could the reach locks be freed by tugging (or more likely pushing back) on the drawbar with the trailer brakes on (while the lock valve is open)? On semi trailers, sometimes it is difficult to pull a fifth-wheel if the king ping is under tension, so backing up with the trailer brakes on releases the pressure on the locking pin and allows the handle to be pulled.
You can't stretch when empty. You have to have your tongue shortened for the scales in the pits. You also need to shorten when dumping. The pressure from the load doesn't have any affect on operation.
I have been following fuel prices and was wondering when it would be affecting trucking industries. For a while here in Maine gas prices were higher. That changed over night and diesel prices skyrocketed. I can see another truckers protest of fuel prices happening. That happened in the mid 80s.
Happened in the 70s as well!
Won't happen, too many big trucking companies subsidized by big gov't. The small guys will be forced out.
@@ky.gambler5281 It has happened quite a few times in the past and it can happen again.
@@kenyh6695 in the 70's and 80's I was there.. The big trucking companies DID NOT protest or shutdown. The small guys are the ones who did, We blocked off entrances to truck stops shutting the Big Guys Down until forced out by police. Where were you in those times?
@@ky.gambler5281 They did in Maine!
Dat horn rocks
LOL, all these guys in the commentary and not one of them discussing the pink elephant.
Refreshing. Subbed.
This Awesome lady is so beautiful. And her voice matches her perfectly..beautiful, hard working woman..her man is very fortunate.
Yeah, don't know how you guys make it with these fuel prices what they are! Good luck and I'll support you all as much as I can
It effects everything. Food costs are going to go up as well as housing. You need fuel for everything.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver exactly. I guess the greenies don’t understand this concept or don’t care. It just amazing
@@bcar1ify yeah that's for sure...the old saying, if you got it a truck brought it!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver already has sorry to say, and doesn't look better in the near future!
@@dalemichael9968 No, we have 1 to 3 years left of this.
In KY we can gross up to 80,000 on a tri axel dump. Netting about 24-26 tons depending on the truck. That whole trailer thing… Never seen that before. Much wow, very interesting, much cool.
Ok. Got to the end and needed a another statement. LoL. First, your vid quaitly has always been A1. Now, with this vid, you have dual camre, plus "A1" sound!?!?!? Killed it!!!! Best production you have given!!! Congrands!!! Keep this up and your going big! 👍🏻👍🏻
best dump vid I ever saw.
Hi Dauminique. Your truck and yourself look great and my very best wishes for GREAT SUCCESS. However, I notice some black paint on the trailer TOW BAR. Very nice. At 0.43 and 5.56 you STILL had to use a hammer. About two months ago I suggested SERVICING the actuator units on the trailer towbar. There could be a worn bushing, plain old RUST or a damaged bearing, whatever is in there. Some bit of lubricating would make it easy. All you have to do is ----open it up. clean and lubricate , reassemble . AND BINGO!!!! easy operation. No hammering.SNOW, RAIN OR SUN
I did send you an email regarding some bit of PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE but you did not respond. I have been there with secondhand heavy vehicle so I can identify with these issues. Some grease on the spring lift at the rear of the truck where the body of the truck rest on it is recommended. It lessens the wear of the suspension. HAPPY TRUCKING.
Expecting companies or even Owner Operators to cover increased fuel costs is rediculous. I've already decided for the upcoming paving season... if I can't collect for the increase then my wheels won't turn.
I feel your pain. Same thing out here.
Thanks. I've always wondered how those adjustments are made.
It’s crazy the different axle weight rules and axle configuration requirements in different places. I remember the first time I drove down in to Washington and saw the length of the pup tongues I was blown away… and that wasn’t even extended 😆
The company I work for does plat development. Dirt crew is burning around 110 gallons per day per piece of equipment ie 30 ton off road trucks 50 ton excavators and D6 dozers
Wow, what a strong horn,
I love the peterbuilt seat on the passenger side
Reach looks like it is worn fairly good and in need of rebuild. For fuel cost yes it sucks but raise your cost to cover it and you’ll be fine. With an abundance of construction happening in your area you’ll stay busy
What a gorgeous truck driver 🥰🥰🇬🇧
Looking good w/ all the things Daum! Just think how nice the reach will work after it gets a tune-up. Thx for 2days video & maybe find a blacksmith's hammer to keep w/ U & be safe Girl.
Dauminique The Dump Truck Driver! Thank you for sharing the difference from west coast to midwest and east coast. I will be getting my order in for Beyond Dirt hat and hoodies.
Order placed!
Love the matching shirt and finger nails 😁
Dominique, we need more videos please, love watching your videos.
Wooooow watch your video that work getting in and out of your truck to relase the trailer extinction.. I give credit you do wat you have to I know the feeling. Keep on trucking.
Now that's a horn!!! Thanks for the reach demonstration
Asked reason of stretch, found your video explaining..😊 bridge weight. Thanks
Hi Dominique I'm Vaughan from Australia I love your channel great work that you and your husband do keep it up
I'm addicted to your channel.
Looking good
cool video ❤ I believe our phones listen to everything we say and gives us suggestions based off that. I just started driving pony dumps myself and your video came up in my feed. 🙌🏼
Phenomenal dumps. The truck is nice, too.
You sure do make dump trucking look good 😜
Not a truck driver but suggest you rent, borrow, or "steal" a pressurized steam cleaner and steam clean the tongue and other underbody parts, wire brush off any rust or corrosion. Spray paint any areas that paint is peeling and regrease the tongue assembly, and other parts. Things might work better for little out of pocket expense! Lookin good, the truck too!
Gotta love those train horns !!!
I found putting never seize on the reach lock pins and s cams helped unlocking to stretch out
I love the view from back here it's like having a backseat on top of your dump truck. I hope everything works out for you!
Great video Dauminique
Oh and the weights I haul with a pony combo is 42.5 tons. 21 on front and 21 on rear. But I understand your configuration of the wheels has you hauling less than me. Cool let's see what else you have.
My fuel cost went from @ $2 a gallon in late 20 to $5 just the other day. Our tonnage rates are virtually unchanged. The mining companies are raising the price of the stone and haul pates on the contractors and putting our money in their pockets. It's a rough time to be an owner op. This reminds me of 08, but it's getting worse. Something has to give.
i am glad you got it fixed
LOVE the train horn!!
just bought diesel today and yesterday both, went up 60 cents overnight, could not believe it. and like you said, it has to be passed on. you hate to have to do it but you just don't have a choice. I remember when I first started dump truckin' diesel was .49 cents a gal. And the Slam breakfast at Denny's was $2.49. lol
Awesome Channel and something different I subscribed! I'm going to watch some of your older video's so I can get caught up a little and hit the bell so I can catch your next video, freaking love it stay safe and don't work too hard
I have 5 years experience T&T and Transfer in the general same area as you. I haven't been in one in over ten years, but I remember the fricken hammer to unlock all to well. I found a few tricks that might help to get them to unlock, but not always.
After all this time, I can't believe someone hasn't come up with a fix or better design. I think that one has been around at least 30 years and it still doesn't work as intended.
Great horn!! Love the videos!!
That is a horn with a punch!! 😂😂😂
Your Truck was Awesome and the other one look great, thank for showing.
LOL. Love the horn.
That was cool. Being on the east coast I've never dealt with a combination like yours. Too bad you have to beat it with a hammer everytime. I guess it just adds to your daily exercise routine lol.
Looks like some work on those Brake chambers for your reach slide is in order. I’m sure it’s just the way things are out there but that whole setup seems a giant money suck. A tractor trailer seems to more efficient. Of course I’m no expert. Love the channel keep trucking. Sending respects from Ohio. OH-
Thanks for covering this, I have been wondering how this works since starting to watch your channel. I was not sure if it was manual or hydraulic, etc.
It’s electric over air.
A little grease on the slack adjusters and/or change the Brake Chambers. You shouldn't have always bang with a hammer. I've driven 4 axle truck and 4 axle pups and thats not a normal thing, a little prevented maintenance could help..
Federal DOT also requires the steering wheel horn button operate a city horn, not air horns or train horns.
Got the hat today, thanks!
Great video and plus you and the truck working for the day
Hey scale said to do it lol love the train horn
Hi Dauminique was interested in why you extend draw bar in the quarry we don't have that on our trailers in Australia ,that I have seen in fact our truck trailer are getting closer so we can have bigger ,longer trailers carry more load this because we are governed by overall leng ruling hence short draw bars longer trailers more load
Your fuel is still cheaper than ours Diesel is around $ 2.30 a litre
YOUR channel is very interesting as a driver myself I enjoying following your days on the road .
Cheers Kym Adelaide South Australia
Pretty cool. I had no idea those trailers stretched like that- like sliding tandems.
Ya a lot of companies here haven't even sent out our new contracts yet for owner ops because they don't know where to set the price yet. Something needs figured out but you also lose money sitting waiting for them to get everything figured out. I'm hoping that everything will work out because I just got a new trailer 2 months ago.
Awesome video
Your truck sounds great! Love to hear it with the camera close when your under load.
