Ric Flair wrestled during a time where wrestling was WRESTLING! mat grappling and Submission holds were a huge part of the game back in the 70s and 80s kinda like how back flips and kick flops are such a big thing now today. So the figure four leg lock made sense back in his days and was a great submission hold for who Ric Flair was and is all about back in his prime. Anybody who says otherwise just don't understand the history of the business...
