When I was in elementary school. There was a kid on the bus saying he got punched in the face by Iron Mike. Everyone picked on him for years after that lie. I feel bad 32 yrs later.
Holmes never fought Tyson just for the money. He had enough in the bank and made sound investments. He fought Tyson for the glory and to make boxing history. His personality isn't that of someone taking a history making fight, against a prime Mike Tyson, for only the money. And it wasn't only 9 weeks that Holmes was given to prepare to fight Tyson. He knew a fight with Mike had been on the shelf since 1986 after he lost the rematch to Michael Spinks when Team Tyson managers Jim Jacobs and Bill Cayton tried to make a deal for Holmes to face Tyson. There's the KO magazine interview from 1986 where Holmes famously stated to Tyson to, "Show me you can kick my ass!!" Tyson-Holmes was thisclose to being made in '86 but HBO needed a popular and viable contender to showcase in their Heavyweight Unification Tournament and nobody was hotter that "Iron" Mike Tyson. So HBO told Team Tyson that in order to enter the tournament they had to squash the Holmes fight. So Jacobs and Cayton brokered a deal and made a promise to Holmes that when Tyson unified all 3 titles that he would get first crack at the undisputed championship. Instead, Tyrell Biggs got the first shot at Tyson because Tyrell's management team of The Duvas wanted to cash him out. At the Tyson-Biggs post fight in October 1987, Holmes was interviewed in the ring stating a bout with Tyson was next. That's 3 full months (12 weeks) before the Tyson-Holmes fight which was scheduled for January 22, 1988. Everybody complains when Tyson fans make excuses but when Tyson's opponents do the same it doesn't matter?
Right but Larry Holmes made excuses for his loss as much as Tyson's fanboys do for all his losses too. That's the comment you should have made if you really wanted to be fair bro.
@@30over3 You're wrong my friend, i'm not a hater at all of Tyson. Great fighter no doubt about that. I'm just talking facts my friend. The Holmes win is legitimate, no excuses, but the Tyson's losses are too, no excuses either. That's the fair statement to make.

I never hears vlad stuttered or trip over his own questioning as much as he did with this Tyson interview 🙄 😆 🤣 😂
"....maybe so...but it wasn't meant for that to happen..." 🤣😂
There's the KO magazine interview from 1986 where Holmes famously stated to Tyson to, "Show me you can kick my ass!!"
Tyson-Holmes was thisclose to being made in '86 but HBO needed a popular and viable contender to showcase in their Heavyweight Unification Tournament and nobody was hotter that "Iron" Mike Tyson.
@@emzid5105 Tyson fanboys? What about the Tyson haters who constantly make excuses against him? I could tell where you reside.
@@30over3 You're wrong my friend, i'm not a hater at all of Tyson. Great fighter no doubt about that. I'm just talking facts my friend. The Holmes win is legitimate, no excuses, but the Tyson's losses are too, no excuses either. That's the fair statement to make.
@@emzid5105 Well I can make that statement when I feel like I'd want to make that statement. The subject here is Larry Holmes, not Tyson's losses. We can talk about those losses and excuses if you like...?
Larry Holmes is a funny dude. I remember, while down in my hometown of Hollywood Florida, he ran across the hood of a car and dived into another boxer in a hotel parking lot 🤣🤣.
Check out Eddie Murphy's impression of him about "sportsmanship."🤣🤣
That uppercut wouldn't have mattered. Yeah it got caught in the ropes, but Larry was doomed the moment he stepped in the ring.
Sounds like he was saying his wife was to laugh with Larry about how he was right about tyson not confront larry
I love Mike Tyson breh
Mike tyson has so much class!!!!!
I love Mike Tyson. He’s a better person than he was.
Oh Glad is actually present on this one with Mike
"maybe so, but it wasn't meant for that to happen" lmao
"Money is the root of all evil" 💯
Says the rich guy.
Mike better keep his daughter and wife under control, times change, they gonna pull this confronting stuff with the wrong one.
You're right times have changed people are pussy and no one is messing with Mike's family.
I liked it better when zab interview him
Me too. Notice Vlad immediately started saying Larry said this, Larry said that, I'm glad Tyson immediately agreed with Larry. It's like Vlad was hoping for Mike to react viciously towards Larry...like F Larry🤬, but I'm glad Mike is in a great space mentally, imagine the old Mike. Vlad keep bringing up the Negative
Hate that the past keeps coming up! He did his time and moved on! Mike is a different man today! A good man! We all make mistakes! Stay positive Mike! You know who you are!
Now prime mike tyson vs prime Larry Holmes would have been something
It would have been one of the best match ups ever. Early rounds favour Tyson but the later it goes it swings to Larry. Watch Round 15 of Holmes vs Norton. Mike doesn't want none of that.
Maaaaaaaannnnnnn he knocked the hell outta me wth you talking about lmfao
“Ha...ha...ha champ! Nobodies gonna rob me 😂 but you need to get this money 😐”
-Don King
Hahahahaha
"Yeah, sure. What else are you going to do besides watch yourself on television?" Lol
I love Mike… 💪💪
Vlad asking these questions in front of 100 secruitys lol they saving his ass when the interview is going bad 😂
Tyson's WIFE is just like My WIFE!!!! LMAO
Cop's knock on my door my wife would say " there he is I know he did it" .
My wife gets a kick out of laughing at Me like Tyson's wife like laughing at him.
Good marriage when your wife makes jokes at your expense and your able to laugh at it.
I love the evolution of Mike Tyson.
3 minutes of Mike 3 minutes of Larry. Lol
Mike is a icon and my fav boxer of all time
Mike is the man.
Nobody gives a shit what Larry Holmes gotta say anyway leave the man alone he's in a happy place in his life right now let him enjoy it.
Vlad: "Don King shows up at your house, and he says that he wants you to fight Mike Tyson."
Larry: "***t you have got to be crazy!"
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The fact the tyson is being civil with vlad speaks volumes, I could see him make vlad his biiatch really quick.
