I gotta agree with others here. He's become so chill and has an edge of self-deprecation and humility. He was ferocious and a horror for many years, an engine running on pure angst.
I started watching him with Norm MacDonald and realized he's let go of all of that. He has a real sense of others and seems to be aware of a purpose beyond dismantling people. He's now walking through life with humor and a wisdom that only he can impart. Never thought I'd say this, "I love Mike Tyson!"

He had a technique of dodging, but using the momentum to shift and plant is feet for maximum power on the followup. Once close, his incredibly quick one-handed bodyshot-uppercut combo was lights out. 1988 Tyson was peak.

I love how even in a mock fight, Tyson instinctively goes into his "Peek-a-boo" style of boxing. There was NOBODY more fierce than Tyson in is prime.
And you can see in the way he moves how he's still got the speed as well. I'm about 20 years younger than him but still wouldn't take him head on without full football pads

The man went to prison for a violent crime - he lost his daughter in a horrible fluke accident - public humiliation at the highest level - Tyson has experienced pain, loss and sadness most of us cannot comprehend - yet here he is enjoying this part of his life. To say he is resilient is an understatement. I honestly hope he is happy.

This man has transcended the life that was laid out for him, and not just once. He went from poverty and being likely to end up a statistic, to the champ and one of the all time greats. Then after that almost killed him too, he went to rock bottom and charted a whole new path back to being a different kind of king. Mike Tyson teaches us about redemption. How many guys end up spending their lives in prison doing what he did? When he lost Cus D’amato, spun out of control. He had countless assaults. Then he flipped a switch and put all the bitterness, rage, and fear in the past. What a beautiful person he has become. I wish everyone had a path to Redemption, it’s inspiring.

I love Mike, I think he is way more than what meet the eye... nobody except himself really knows what he is and what he feels, having a great power or a great ability is a blessing but it can also be a curse and I don't think nobody can judge that.

i think that if we, as humans seek to look at people without judgment, we need to tell ourselves that we simply are all in different stages in life, and also that we can't really judge someone, because there are just too many parameters to count to be exact about the way we judge, like for example what the person felt, where and in what conditions they grew up, what are their thinking processes, how do they react to different types of adversity, the reason of their actions etc
So i believe we can judge an action, but not the person.

@the_minimalistic_adventure To be absolutely fair, not everyone wants a hug. Sure a suite can be excessive, but it's not "strange" to not want an unwarranted physical embrace.
I don't think he "almost hugged them". I feel more like it was purposely done that way, like a playful pretend punch you do with a friend.

I have to say, I've met Mike and he was just a funny guy that loves hot rods and cutting up. I think it was around 2002-2004 out at the NHRA National event at the Las Vegas Drag Strip. Cool dude.
