Welcome back to the Babymetal Foxhole. "PA PA YA" is from Babymetal third album METAL GALAXY. Papaya is a tropical fruit available anywhere in Asia especially in the region of South East Asia. "PA PA YA!!" is a dance song with an underlying massage of striving for personal excellence, collaboration with a very well known Thailand 🇹🇭 rapper from Chiang Rai name Natthawut Srimok nickname Golf but known popularly by his stage name F.HERO (Fukking Hero) and specialise in the Hip-Hop and Rap genre. Some remarks in Thai lyric translation part:
    Molam= Thai-Isan local music
"Papaya -Pok-Pok= Thai pun phrase means Som-Tam, Thai food made up from papaya-chopped mix up with chilli, tomato, garlic, palm sugar, lots of vegetable and others depends on varies area. "Som-Tam" also have the same meaning with "Hanaka"= Thai old snack, slang word means like "sugoi" in Japanese. Great reaction.
    Background and release:-
"Pa Pa Ya!!" was released worldwide on June 28, 2019, just ahead of the band's performance at Yokohama Arena the same day. The song was also released as a bonus CD to the box set Metal Resistance Episode VII - Apocrypha: The Chosen Seven.
As Moametal states, "Pa Pa Ya!!" has a fun performance, and is the first of their songs to feature a rap section.
    Composition:-
Similar to other Babymetal songs, "Pa Pa Ya!!" gathers influence from various genres while preserving the band's J-pop and electronic music. With its name referring to the papaya, "Pa Pa Ya!!" contains components of southern lands, Japanese festivals, and a chaotic tune, for a "hot upper tune" in the summer. The song is composed of an "infectuous synth line", "bouncy guitar riffs", and vocals repeatedly yelling "Pa pa ya", with the tune showcasing Su-metal and Moametal singing around each other in contrast to the chants and guitars. F.Hero raps a verse which provides elements of nu-metal, and applying "horror-esque synths" against the bubblegum chorus.

"In the Name Of" won't be what you expect though. Yes it is off the 3rd album and yet opened Su's Legend S concert for her 20th birthday (pre Metal galaxy by several years and of course when Yui was still technically in BABYMETAL).
If you watch a version the Legend S is the one as this was the concert opener. Probably the most EPIC opening of any concert they have done.

My jaw dropped constantly for about ten minutes and I even forgot to breath for a moment 😄 No lie!
The first twelve minutes from Legend S was something I never expected to witness in my life.

Good reaction. F Hero is a rapper from Thailand. He flew in to Japan to perform this song with BABYMETAL at the first two concerts of the 2019 tour in Yokohama.
When they played in Bangkok a couple of weeks ago he again made a special guest appearance.
A couple of other commenters have said the same thing - I would strongly recommend you react to the rest of the Metal Galaxy album in track order. It has two very distinct sides or halves and two "introduction" songs, one for each side.
The first half is the Light Side starting with 'Future Metal' as the intro ... that is best heard with 'Da Da Dance'.
The second half is the Dark Side and that has 'In The Name Of' as the intro (Legend S is by far the best version for the theatrical performance alone).
Also use the track list from the Japanese release, that has two songs you will not find on the international edition.

BxMxC too and this song has cool official video. I love third album much more than second. For me it's more emotional I think. I cried on Starlight, get angry with Distirtion, smile on Shanty Shanty, jump on Pa Pa Ya, get hope with Brand New Day and etc. It wasn't love from first sight, but it's love. Momoko is currently the youngest of them all. She's only 20 (Moa is currently 23 and Su is 25). Another trivia fact: she is the tallest of the 3 😁
    F. Hero performed live multiple times in the stage (although isolated on his own platform, I guess due to covid prevention) with them. He is a Thai rapper, performing in Thai. When I first head it, I didn't really get it and it only one I experienced it live that I was able to really appreciate it. Its very much a song you participate in, rather than simply listen to.

I'm liking the added guitar during F.Hero's rap section, it's not on the album version or earlier live performances. Su chose to really exaggerate the R:s this time around, even for some of the Japanese words. She also added a strong nasal twang to some parts. I don't think I've ever heard them change a song as much as they did here, but I think I like it better. 🦊🤘

Starting with the 3rd album indeed the Ice Queen starts to slip (the standing joke is that every so often Suzuka manages to sneak out from inside SU-METAL). Initially it was little smiles and oh her little wiggle she does but gradually we start to see her really enjoying herself on stage (like Moa). One thing we have also seen is the increase in little practical jokes and girl interaction moments on stage. The most famous are the Hengao, (or strange faces) battles that Su and Moa do when Su's face is hidden by the mask in Megitsune. Every concert Moa and/or Su do something and it has become a tradition for fans to try and film it.
But this has spread to lots of little moments on stage during concerts between the three of them.

Would you be interested in seeing Moa and Yui in Sakura Gakuin, the origin of Babymetal? As Babymetal were actually a subunit of Sakura Gakuin (SG) known as the heavy music club. They also had other subunits in which Moa and Yui were members of. Such as Mini-Pati (the cooking club), and Twinklestars, (the baton club). If you would like to see Moa and Yui do something other than Babymetal, please let me know and I'll suggest some videos for you. If not, just ignore this comment. Thank you for your consideration.

You are talking about the Trilogy Of Lights. They're Starlight, Shine, and Arkadia in that order. But I would prefer you start at the beginning of the album with Future Metal and Da Da Dance. (You should do these 2 together in one reaction)
Aaaand you still need to do the unreleased early Babymetal covers like Answer for Animation With You (Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai), White Love, Tsubasa Wo Kudesai, and you STILL haven't reacted to the regular version of Akatsuki. You only listened to the unfinished piano version. The original version is way powerful and you're missing out. But since I know you don't read all the comments, I'm sad you'll miss out on these older songs they did. And not to mention the Yui and Moa solo songs, Chokotto Love, and Love Machine. You totally missed those! Please go back and do these songs!!

Starlight, Shine, Arkadia. They are songs that talk about going through the stages of grief. It's believed by most of us fans that these songs were created due to the death of Mikio Fujioka and the departure of Yui as both happened within a couple months of each other. This was a dark period for Babymetal. As for F.Hero, there is a youtube video out there where he is singing with Babymetal live as well if you want to look for it at some point for yourself. He is not Japanese, I believe he is Thai if my memory serves me correctly. This album is probably the least "metal" of their albums I think, but the songs are still good. The least metal, is my personal opinion, I'm sure there will be those that disagree of course, and they have every right to. To each his/her own after all, that's just my opinion. Anyhow, after you've checked out this album, I'd highly recommend getting your hands on the full LEGEND - S - BAPTISM XX concert from start to finish. It was performed in Hiroshima, Su's hometown. It is the concert done during her birthday period as well. You'll get to see how amazing the concert was, but you'll also get to see the struggle the girls were going through, TRYING to figure out how to function without Yui as I think it was their first concert after Yui's official departure. Even though they struggled, they did it so professionally, if you didn't know any better you probably wouldn't realize it. During the songs where Yui and Moa would do call and reply to each other, Moa would do the call, and the crowd would perform Yui's part for Moa so she wouldn't have to worry about it. It was pretty touching to see and hear, and I can only imagine that made Moa happy and grateful.
Moa stated in interviews that after Yui left, Moa was actually scared of the crowd because of the way they were looking at her and Su since Yui wasn't there. I don't know if the fans actually were looking at them any differently or in any hostile manner, but I can easily see how they would be nervous and might see that from the crowd when they were already nervous from having Yui just leave so suddenly because of health reasons. They were left in a very awkward position for a little while and they had a bit of work to try and figure something out. Even with all that pressure, these girls who were still so young, with Su just turning 20, and Moa still only 18, not only pushed through it so majestically, but they grew stronger from it too and became closer to one another as a result. You gotta give these girls respect. No matter how hard things get, they truly live by what they sing about. No matter how hard they are thrown to the ground, they get back up, brush themselves off and get right back into it, just like they teach in their song Karate, and Road of Resistance. I'll always respect them for that alone even.

Do not believe most fans as there is no official or unofficial statement ever from the band that this has anything to do with Mikio or Yui. Nor did Yui departure and Mikio's death happen within a couple of month's. Mikio passed away in Jan 2018, Yui's official departure was Oct 2018, her last performance was Oct. 2017. So "Couple of Months meaning 2 is not true. The only thing that is remotely based in fact in this entire statement is that this was a dark period for Babymetal. The rest is pulled from the imagination of the poster.

@@jason7120 well if you wanna argue semantics, then yes, you are 100% correct. The moment I pressed send, It occurred to me that SOMEBODY was going to grammar police me because I accidently said couple of months as opposed to a few months. So congrats, you are correct on that. As for the timing of the songs on relation to everything happening, as I said we DONT know, but we like to believe that that is the point of the songs. And even IF it was just coincidence, who really cares. The timing was perfect, and it helped not only us, the fans, but I'm sure the songs helped Moa and Su.

Always been a little indifferent to this one (assumed it was better being there maybe) but I like this version - but got to say all the "international?" tracks they did felt a little weak in places to me (esp. English version of Elevator girl) - but still "good" songs.
