I say finally because this is the first video I have found that shows using the features simultaneously!
I am with you, who the f@#$ is going to use them like that. I am looking for a pedal I can toggle between both volume effect and expression effect from the same unit NOT using separate switches NO extra cables no tap dancing on my already overly complicated pedal board let's keep it simple. We guitarists need a compact footprint on our effect pedal chain with the simplest possible switching formats.
Sure say a combo effects processor is what I need... um yeah i own two ... great solution until it breaks down while out gigging. individual pedals are very durable and robust, but if one does happen to fail, simply take the broken one out of the loop and continue the show.
Once again thank you for the video do you think its too much to ask for the design team at hotone to use common sense give us all what we want and add a 5 dollar foot switch under your toe like am old cry baby to toggle between volume and expression. Charge 20 dollars more for the pedal I would pay so would everyone else in the industry. But that would make too much sense and make hotone way too much money and overwhelm them with orders because their price point and build quality of this particular pedal is very competitive.

As of now, I haven't found an expression pedal that is capable of switching between volume and expression. I do hope for a new version of Ampero Press that can do this. It sounds feasible but maybe technology doesn't allow it for now.

If I connect a looper pedal to my volume line of the pedal that switch will bypass the volume and since you can use both effect simultaneously the expression effect remains working.
So the technology is there a bypass switch under the toe and a few centimeters of wire I would think.
That's a good point. However, if I pictured it out correctly, that shouldn't work. Because if we bypass the volume line, we would be bypassing the entire input signal right?
Because of your idea, I realized that maybe, the reason why the switching isn't available yet, is because the input line/signal would be affected.
@@AaronSopungco the input would go into loop pedal send out to volume pedal in out from volume pedal back into return loop out of loop pedal back into the expression effect so no the guitar signal is unchanged and pure. That is the sole purpose of a true bypass loop.
The expression gets its signal from the effect pedal and your foot
Let's just use the pedal as expression pedal
Out of guitar
Into pitch shifter
Out of pitch shifter pedal out into expression pedal
Also out of pitch shifter out to amp
Pedal needs no guitar direct in to use expression feature
Thanks for sharing Aaron. I Appreciate this video. 🙏 The sound is tops! and demo was really awesome! Now with Pod Go you can jump from wah to volume with the switch built underneath the pedal. Looks like there’s got to be some sort of workaround to get that to happen. Maybe an extra button to accomplish the same thing or reconfigure one of the existing buttons?

So far, I believe the solution is only available to multis with built in expression. But external expression pedals, haven't seen one yet.

How do you calibrate the hotone ampero expression pedal by itself and start using it, plugging straight into my boss synthesizer sy-1?

I always thought that volume and expression at the time didn't make sense. good review, I wanted to see how the sweep of the volume did. since there are some reviews in Amazon complaining about it. If you have any experience with the dunlop X mini volume, would you say that they are both equal value?
I have no experience with the dunlop mini. However, I have the full sized Dunlop X. My problem with it is the mechanism it employs. It uses a film like material in controlling the potentiometer. It's a very fragile part. Mine broke and the whole volume pedal despite its durable build is now useless.
This Hotone pedal doesn't seem to have a fragile part like that so I believe this will last and will be able to withstand even if you use it as a controller for a wah effect.

I think if you already own an Ampero II Stomp, Press would be enough since the Stomp already has Soul Press available in its wah effects.
