@YKMBIZZY Sure there are people "better" than you out there, but thats the case for anyone, all the time really. There is always someone better. That said there is a massive influx of new blood and a lot of people who are starting at zero right now! As with anything just play, practice and have fun. It isn't a race to get as good as fast as possible immediately. Just go at your own pace and don't stress it.

Tip #0: Please do all the Dojo challenges. Even the combo challenges are ridiculously helpful in learning each character's basic strings. And the trainer challenges that you can do will ask of you to perform almost every mechanic in the game, usually in some form of combo.

DBFZ is a very different style of game than SF/MK to say the least. Having fun is absolutely priority #1 so happy you are doing well on that front. It will take time to get hang of the game to be sure but I have seen so many people since the start of DBFZ who have literally never played a FG before, and now many of them are straight up killers. Anyone can do it, just gotta stick with it!

I think, if you wanna get a good idea of this game's basics, Marvel vs Capcom is a good reference. It essentially has DBFZ's basic combo style (trying to get the opponent up in the air as high as possible), but not the more unique features of DBFZ. I'd say try any MvC game (besides Infinite), particularly MvC3.

27:14 Important detail about assist regeneration and sparking blast. note that if you use your assist while doing a combo and spark AFTERWARDS the assist will not regenerate unless you disengage or finish your combo, now if you use your sparking blast BEFORE calling your assist then the assist will regenerate during the combo like normal.

I'm actually returning to play DB FighterZ after two years straight of not touching it. It felt scary to play against anyone because I never was really into 2.5D fighting games, so it was intimidating seeing how people go and play so fast, and all the combos make it even harder to grasp what the hell should I've been doing.
So I'm being watching guides everywhere for a good two months, and decided to give 2D fighting games a try. I bought Granblue Fantasy Versus and played it with all the tutorials after gathering some knowledge of fighting games terminology. I went from a mash of buttons to someone who spent more than 1 hour with a character in the training room testing combos and looking at the frame data to know how to mix up things with little chance of the opponent hit back. I think I finally understand the thrill of fighting games and why it is such a niche and scary genre to get into.
Maybe it is finally time for me to give Dragonball a good try after all this time. Thanks for the tips since I was watching some pro matches and didn't understand how they could do the dashes so fast. Man, I'm already getting excited about it.

I’ve been wanting to branch out to try and put out new content...my heart was pulling me towards this game but I am...awful at fighting games like this. The terminology, the inputs, ect. Its like a new language but thanks to this guide I at least have a chance to understand what the hell I’m doing! Wish me luck!! And thank you for this guide!

Thanks a lot my man! Now I need to find optimal combos in every situation for my team (cell / black / vegito) and I'll be good to go. Still haven't played a single ranked match because I don't feel ready yet.

This has been the most helpful video by far for someone who feels the brilliance of the game just out of reach. I feel it there! As of now though I feel like I just endlessly combo'd and all I can do is mash- but your tips about recovering and the blue combo bar-- all so helpful. Thank you man.

I just hit demon rank after a year and a half hiatus. And I’m getting absolutely bodied. I was getting by with un optimized combos, not knowing how to guard cancel or anything like that. I fought a majin that TOD me and I realized I need to get a lot better before I climb the ranks any higher

I just got it!! It’s on sale, I thought I would never get this game because its to expensive for me and just now it was 75% off in steam so I purchased it right away. Hopefully I will enjoy this game.

Could you make videos about the whole training mode? It would be n1 to see all the frame advantages when doing combos and how beginners can see when they drop the combos and why. That would be really appreciated
