I bought the platinum black and white one a month ago. The two tone looks amazing and feels really premium inside. Unlike the Kia Sorento which I was ready to drive this feels like it is built to last. Went on 3hr road trip got 29.4MPG.
Lauren I bought a 2022 Lincoln Corsair based off your commentary on this vehicle. I was looking at the Cadillac Xt4, and I test drove that Cadillac. The Cadillac Xt4 engine was very noisy, and I didn't know why because it was a new car. You said to test drive the Corsair and we did. That was one if the reason we went with the Lincoln Corsair. The stitching on the dash stood out also. But overall, your comments on the Corsair went over well with us. Thank you!
Amazing how much better it looks inside and out and now a regular transmission, even if it is the sometimes clunky ZF 9 speed. This may win the most improved vehicle trophy. Great job Nissan. 👏

I take this over Explorer or Grand Cherokee L or even Honda Pilot. Telluride looks better and more functional. Highlander more reliable. But this has become competitive, fantastic job Nissan.
It's about what your priorities are. This baby can tow up to 6,000 lb for a vehicle of this size. Only the Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee can compete with that.

I take my '06 Pathfinder (currently with 145K on it and still drives like a champ) over this. The new one seems to be better than its predecessor, but it's still just a "mallfinder" with the slightly more "rugged" [just a little more angular really] exterior features and without the CVT.

I am disappointed that Nissan has repeatedly shown this color combination in videos (boulder grey pearl/Super Black exterior, grey interior) and yet when you go to their website, this color combination is not available. 5000 Market adjustment at North Plainfield Nissan for all 2022 Pathfinder models......sad...would have driven one home if there was room to negotiate.....I'm sure some people would be willing to pay over sticker.....I aint one of em....Drove down the road and starrted the process with a 2022 MDX.....1000 Market adjustment.....walked out.....(and that's after walking out of a genesis dealer GV80 +5000$ market adjusstment, Kia dealer 8,000$ market adjustment on telluride, Hyundai dealership 4000 on palisade, and Ford dealer 5000 market adjustment on Explorer ST) CRAZY
I was able to get my Pathfinder at MSRP but I had to talk to 4 different dealerships. It differs from one dealer to another - One of them wanted a 17k adjustment.
Cannon Nissan in Jackson Mississippi tried a $3k market adjustment with me. I said no thanks and headed for the door. The moment I backed out of the parking spot the sales manager came running out and stopped me. We made a deal. 👍

It’s an excellent vehicle. I own the Platinum AWD/4WD. I actually like the feel and drive of it over the Telluride. The model being used in this video is probably pre-production? The sign in the storage area gave it away. So if anyone likes this color combo, it was not available with the light grey seats as of July 14, 2021 when I picked up mine. Take a vigorous test drive. You might love it.
I own the Platinum hunter green and I love it. The handling is superb. Love the wiper sensors and digital dashboard. I will be driving this for a long time.
Great review and information. One item I would like to know about side mirrors. I just test drove one and found then small and not the best visibility. This is compared to my current Toyota Rav where the mirrors are large, great shape and great viewing area. Any comments appreciated.
Using all your mirrors and back up cameras are the best way to get the maximum visibility. If you’re going to be towing a trailer then you might want to consider mirror extensions which you can get it any RV store. Thanks for the comments hope that helped.
I have watched you review with Highlander and I will say you have a problem with Nissan products. This car is far better than you review comments which is very bias. This car is far better than Highlander in technology, roomy, better off road ability, better looking, better storages, better transmission, better price. Please stop reviewing Nissan again.
I think that's pretty an impressive 0-60, I mean this is like a sports car speed in the early 2000s. Of course, it's not like an EV, but it's plenty of fast for most situations.
I had a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum. I loved it but its front passenger seat sits too low for my wife to see. There is zero height adjustment. $50k plus vehicle should have proper front seats.
Public transportation Train, light rail ticket cost $4.95 one way to station. Gas prices cost on smallest eco car @9 gallon tank. $4.95 regular, Equals $44 @ 400 miles range. Biggest suv @35gal tank cost $170 at the pump of $4.95 regular, Range 550 mile range. As of today gas price November 2, 2021. Full tank.
Previous models of Pathfinders and Frontiers were notorious for mixing up transmission fluid with engine coolant in Jatco made radiators. Due to those faulty radiators a lot of transmissions were prematurely destroyed. Some owners would install stand alone transmission radiators to avoid that problem. Does the new pathfinder with tow package has a separate transmission radiator from engine coolant radiator or is it still one unit with two different loops.
Good question. I had a Xterra with that issue & got screwed by Nissan when my transmission failed even with a warranty. I want to like Nissan but will never give them another dollar after the way I was treated

We have the 09 Pathfinder and this new one looks like what the next gen should have looked like. Not sure what they were thinking with the current gen ones. They don't resemble the Frontier platform at all but I really like this 22.

You do 'not' need 2 hands on the wheel. The symbol that pops up on the instrument cluster shows 2 hands, but only requires one hand. The vehicle wants to see the driver making corrections with the steering. Go too long without giving a steering input and the warning (steering wheel with 2 hands symbol) will come up. I own the 2022 Pathfinder SV. I drive with one hand all the time in adaptive cruise. It is a little confusing.
Really like the looks of the Pathfinder. Nissan did a good job. Some things I wished it had are: 2 nd row heated/cooled seats, and for the hood, I wished it didn't have a prop rod and a skid plate. With the chip shortage I wonder what will the availability be. Now looking at the Kia Telluride and the Nissan Pathfinder. Kia told me there is a 2-3 month wait and they are selling them at sticker price.
Nissan once was an innovator in the auto industry for safety. 75% of the safety features we found today, from blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control to backup camera was introduced by Nissan and adapted by other manufacturers. But for some reason, Nissan lost its way, many Nissan and Infiniti owners, including myself complained about the horrible backup or top view cameras, while everyone is using hi-def cameras, Nissan is still stuck with 360p resolution, the touchscreen is from the 2008 parts bin, and standard features like blind spot monitoring that's standard on other brands is extra from Nissan, and they're the one that invented the technology. It's good to see finally, with the new Pathfinder and Titan, that Nissan is stepping up to the plate and into the 21st Century, abide they still charging for some standard features.
Then Nissan in Japan decided to try to remove the guy that saved their company, Carlos Ghosn. They made up stories and put him in prison, the results hurt their company. Stupid move. So now Nissan is trying to rebuild its brand from the ground up. unreal story.

I always wonder why manufacturers don’t design rear wiper to hide at the top rather than at the bottom of the glass. Is there some engineering difficulties? Doesn’t seem like it.
Ok Lauren, great review but here are some constructive criticism, you can grow your channel much quicker if you choose to go with a more non formal less TV show format, meaning cut the intro where you mention what you intend to give the viewers, it's too much of a list, I don't think viewers are looking for Consumer Reports here...also that thing you mention about others trying sell us bla bla, irrelevant. keep showing the car, keep giving us the non reporter straight talk like you are talking to a friend not a TV audience....I think more people like moms will relate to you. As is, you are improving the actual camera work on showing the car is much better....I still feel there is a lot of old school car reviewers outthere actually do know cars but they all sound like reading off a script, it's not enjoyable. In the youtube age, you can be you, crack a joke, goof around, be yourself is completely ok. Keep up the good work.

WHOA... BACK UP THE TRAIN! BIGGEST ISSUE I'VE FOUND is..... LOOK where your phone is sitting? Camera's on the windshield. Phone.. on your leg? Where will EVERYONE PUT THEIR PHONES? I've found myself shopping for EVERY MODEL OF PHONE HOLDER for my pathfinder. Still haven't found but the AC vent models that work.

Yeah, the Telluride is still king of this segment, but they also go for $10-14k over MSRP. This is a good option for people who can’t go that route.

Test drives should be no problem at all. I got my Platinum AWD in mid July. One of the best cars I’ve owned.

Not that I ever heard of, I think you are talking about Super Cruise.

I had a 2012 toyota sienna that had the wiper hidden under the top, and I think they still do...but it seems to be the only vehicle that does it.

Ok Lauren, great review but here are some constructive criticism, you can grow your channel much quicker if you choose to go with a more non formal less TV show format, meaning cut the intro where you mention what you intend to give the viewers, it's too much of a list, I don't think viewers are looking for Consumer Reports here...also that thing you mention about others trying sell us bla bla, irrelevant. keep showing the car, keep giving us the non reporter straight talk like you are talking to a friend not a TV audience....I think more people like moms will relate to you. As is, you are improving the actual camera work on showing the car is much better....I still feel there is a lot of old school car reviewers outthere actually do know cars but they all sound like reading off a script, it's not enjoyable. In the youtube age, you can be you, crack a joke, goof around, be yourself is completely ok. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the feedback. Always trying to improve! We did the structured readings because people wanted some thing predictable. I’m happy to cut out the tease and get right into the meat of things. That would make my life a lot easier.
@@CarCoachReports I watched lots of videos on this vehicle. You pointed out most of the important facts. I like the structure. You have the street cred. With the other platforms you are on, I believe you know how to do a video. You have to make sure you cover several points of each vehicle you review. I think it shows you did your homework. It's the points you choose to cover that I appreciate. Well-done.

WHOA... BACK UP THE TRAIN! BIGGEST ISSUE I'VE FOUND is..... LOOK where your phone is sitting? Camera's on the windshield. Phone.. on your leg? Where will EVERYONE PUT THEIR PHONES? I've found myself shopping for EVERY MODEL OF PHONE HOLDER for my pathfinder. Still haven't found but the AC vent models that work.
