I still have mine, got it as a gift from my employer at the time and they had it engraved and everything, so mine is still in really good shape with little to no scratches on the back! I haven't even tried to power it on in a decade!
there's one of these listed on eBay close to me with the engraving, "Lisa, I'll love you forever. I'll love you always."... i wanted it soo bad but the shipping costs are really high for some reason?? XD
Yes, but ifix rates the job as very difficult due to the fragile case that is hard to take apart. If you have experience you can do it, otherwise your money is better spent buying a new used one rather than paying a shop.
Yeah it’s on Ali, but shipping time is long. Opening it up is pretty easy, as long as you’re not in a rush. So the guy in the reply is wrong. iFixit sometimes overrates the difficulty of the repair (but hey, I repair those things as a hobby) and mostly the difficulty in the time it takes to open those things and solder the new battery in
All this was in middle school lmao I grew up in an odd environment. I got an iPod for Christmas but my house had no Internet, no cable, no game system, only VHS and N64. This is circa 2009? I grew up poor, and I remember before I got my iPod, I was so envious of my neighbors iPod (who was my best friend) that I stole it, but my guilty conscious kicked in, I wrapped it in plastic and then threw it in his yard. He didn't find it for several weeks til I claimed I found it outside. Sorry just memory dumping
Apple has made it impossible for these to sync with the latest versions of itunes, you can download a new firmware but it won't work, you can also restart you computer but it won't work either, you can call your mother in law and you can jump out the window, it won't connect to your wifi, you can push all the buttons at once it won't make a difference, and updating itunes is precisely what renders them useless. So all this works as long as you have an ipod touch and don't connect it to anything, that's why nobody shows what the ipod does when you connect it to itunes. Apple what you to throw it away and by something else from them.
I'm at an Apple Store talking to these Geniuses right this minute and they've got no advice! They did sell me a new 30-pin to USB because my iPod battery had died. So that's not completely nothing. The guys at a store in Los Angeles once suggested some sofware workaround, but alas, alack, here I remain.
@@seanl.mccarthy9924 I have two perfectly usable ipods touch but I made the mistake of downloading the (then) latest version of itunes (years ago) because podcasts and certain contents vanished from my library and I all I heard was "update your itunes" "update" "update" so I did, after the update both ipods became useless, they reason is rather simple, for your ipod to work there must be a communication protocol that allows the data to flow between your computer and your device and Apple removed it from itunes. So no matter what you do you won't get them to work with recent versions of itunes. Fortunately I had an old Mac with itunes 10 installed in the attic, so I went there I plugged them in and guess what? They both work, so NO! Don't you ever update itunes if it works, updating is what made my ipods turn into stones. Too many videos of smartarses that presents themselves as experts when they're faced with problems that are already solved.
Ahh... the only iPod I ever owned. I found that I was more disappointed by what it couldn't do than impressed by what it could do. I jailbroke it less than a week after i got it gaining access to a third party app store waaay before it had the actual app store. Including wifi file transfer, and root access to the file system. Pretty much basic Android stuff.
Same. My dad got mine at Fry's Electronics and the display one had cool games and apps on it. Then I got mine and it didn't have the same apps. Then i figured out how to jailbreak it. It was awesome!
I think I had that one maybe it was a gen 2 , when I hit the school yard people were boiling with hate jealousy and envy! Two people tried to steal it I got my ass beat in one fight but he didn’t get it and the second fight I beat her ass good she didn’t get it obviously either. I think I had it during 2008/2010 in the end the ocean ended up stealing it when it fell off the Santa Monica pier I wasn’t about to fight the Pacific Ocean I know my limits

In 2025 the iPod touch is 18

yea your battery has swollen, should get it replaced or store it somewhere like a glass jar as expanded batteries are dangerous

Music with the albums should have stayed
You mean 2nd gen because why does it have App Store
Ios 2 brought the app store to ipod touch 1st gen and 2ed gen
You clearly didn't do your research. iPhone OS 2.0 came to the first iPod Touch too, though it was a paid upgrade.
A phone without a phone 🙄
Still a minor
