Hi Bob hope u see thus
You're the Bob Ross of survivalists.
Hey Bob is there any chance you can put up some nutritional information?
I’ll start working at that. Most of the time, you’ll be at a calorie deficits. Eat as much as you can, when you can.
What type of dog is huck?
All mushrooms are edible. Some only once.
That hit hard
There are many more deadly plants than deadly mushrooms.
@@tb9734 Yes but plants are much easier to identify
This is quickly becoming my most favorite outdoors channel. I really like the format, lack of BS and treasure trove of good information. Plus, it just feels like spending time outside with a friendly guy named Bob. I've been locked down in NYC for 14 weeks and this channel really helped me get through. Thanks!
Hansler and Huck back in action!
More to come!
Bob Hansler hi
I like your vids
Why is this guy so satisfying to watch??
The bob Ross of survival.
Glad to see your doing well Mr. Hansler ! And Huck too.
Great to see you again! And without sunglasses .. I hope that means that your eyes are already much better. Warm greetings from Germany
Stable, finding ways to compensate. We’ll keep at it.
I haven't watched your videos ever since you went blind. I see you're doing better now and can see!
9:37 Chupacabra seasoning now made with 40% more chupacabras to make any meal legendary!
Fun video as always. Looks tasty.
Very tasty. You want quality chupicabra though, quantity means nothing if they are sub-standard.
Bob Hansler huck looks amazing man it’s cool to see a man and his dog outside foraging
Man I am glad to see you without your shades on. I've been away for awhile, my apologies, but we've had you in our hearts and prayers. Thank you sir for the videos and the scouts .
Thanks, Brandon
Hello Sir Bob! You know what? Here in my country Philippines we also eat that beetle grubs. But before we cook we take out the black part first coz thats soil. And we wash it very well... But in your case i understand that you did not take it out and not wash it first because your in the woods... Love your videos Sir! Keep safe and GOD bless you always.
Holy crap, I fkn LOVE the sound of cicadas! The warm sound of Texas summer! Cheers, from Houston 🍻
Awesome! Did yard work, other work, grabbed some food and wine and here a new vid from you. Perfect!! The taste tests with Huck are a riot 😂
During any crisis if you want to live you have to be with Bob! Thank you so much! 👋🏻👍🏿
No, just learn and practice before the you really need it. He's awesome at sharing!
Bob. So happy to see you back at it. I feel like Huck. If I had a tail it would be waggin me
Your dog is the chilliest thing ever
I am tripping. This is my neighborhood and I am learning what to survive on. This is awesome! Thank you Bob
Not a lot of guys willing or educated for that matter to pick and eat wild mushrooms. Excellent video! That first oyster mushroom... beautiful.
Recently got a field manual for wild edibles, i'm gonna take it everywhere so I never get poisoned :D (hopefully)
Excellent resource. Learn one walk about at a time.
@@BobHansler good advice, thankyou
try learning from a teacher aswell, books can often not substitute a teacher who knows exactly what to look for, taste, texture, etc.
I’m glad your doing good Bob. And great video. It was an awesome 3 course meal! I can’t help but think of the song “A country boy can survive” when I see Mr Hansler piecing together a meal.
Smilac, known as Greenbrier, or Pipe Vine, is all over my yard. I don't mow until I harvest all I can. Mine are big around as my finger, great as a pot herb, or in s fresh salad.
The reason they also call it "Pipe Vine" is the bulb can be as big as your fist and some of the finest smoking pipes are carved from it after it is well dried.
Bob, on the matter of starvation, there is a man from Ireland who went 471 days with no food. He had water and minerals /vitamins and dropped over 300lbs. His physician states that he only lost 3% of his muscle mass, which is incredible. I know that this is a apples to oranges comparison, as he was monitored, had nutrients and did it for health reasons. Great vid, abs enjoy your content.
His body was eating its food reserves. You will find that if you have a bit of fat you’ll hit a low blood sugar for an hour or so before your body kicks in and starts burning the fat. Ideally though, having food consistently is best.
@@BobHansler, yes he was over 500 lbs to start, he had plenty of blubber to burn.
Sounds like the cicadas are coming alive.
At the beginning of their sound I thought it was a rattler. 😊
Yes, this year they are out but only in a few regions
My area only gets them every 19 or so years and we are sadly due.
I like to think Bob lives in the woods and occasionally goes to a McDonalds or Barnes and noble to charge the cameras and use the WiFi to upload videos. A true trooper. Someone make a gofundme for a new sitting log.
Ha.
Good to see you improved! Prooves the power of prayers.
Love your mesquite spatula.
Bob Hansler cooks it... I'll eat it!
It's the Huck show featuring Bob.
One of my must see channels
Glad to see a new video Bob. Glad you and Huck are doing good. Can't wait for the next one.
Huck is like where’s Kraft services. Bear gets lunch delivery from the Discovery channel. There better be a steak for me back at camp. 😂 Thanks for the video. God bless.
You need to get Huck his own pair of sunglasses
Great to see you still making videos during these times.
Thanks Bob Good to see you again

Great video👍
Hey Bob! It's good to see you again, I hope you're doing well! Lovely video as always : )
Better every day. More to come.
So good seeing you and huck out in the field again man
Bob I'm so happy to see you are so much better now. This new video just made my day. God Bless to you and your family
Good to see you again Bob I hope your eyes are doing better
So great to see you back out and enjoying this world we have! Great to see you doing better than before!
Yes, "Hen of the woods" mushrooms are a choice edible, they are a ltttle better if you pull off their pores
I’ll look into it.
@@BobHansler I think he's confused, hen of the woods have no gills, they grow in clusters and are in the same family as polypores.
@@denisefrickey5636 thanks for the correction. I mistakenly called it's pores gills, i will correct
Bob it's always good seeing you and making me hungry for wild treats . Hope everything is well for you and your family ,and continue with your lessons of wild edibles. God bless y'all
So glad you are back publishing!
Me too.
Bob good to see you and away enjoy seeing what your into
It’s good to see that your back!
A bad year for wild onion in TX translates to a great one in TN I guess. I saw more (properly huge) wild onion and garlic plants in my yard this year than I have in a decade. Thanks for another cozy video Bob.
This depends on where you're at in Texas. I'm in Burnet County. About 80 miles NorthEast of where Bob is at. There are wild onions everywhere, and the Yucca is doing quite well.
So peaceful 😊 i hope you and your family are well and blessed ❤

Oh boy look who's back. Great video!
I'm being sent to fort bliss Texas in three days and after that a 9 month deployment to Africa for the army. Ive been watching most of your videos for a month now. Thanks for the informative videos you bring out. I feel a lot more prepared for southern Texas, by watching your videos. Thanks for that
Get ready for the humidity.
Hi from Alabama, I just discovered your videos from watching wooded beardsman...I hope your doing good with your health. I can relate some I was paralyzed at 36 my body mistakenly attacked my spinal cord. I love to hunt and fish, but due to very bad pain I barely get out of bed. So your videos are my outdoor time. Prayers for long health and God bless the man that give you his kidney. Keep the videos coming or else I don't get to go outside!
Good to see you out and about. Im digging that mesquite spatula. Cheers from South Tejas.
Yaay Hansler and Huck are back
Hi. Glad your back!!
Me too. More to come.
The dogs like get that shit outta my face 😂
Are those the mushrooms nicknamed “chicken of the forest”? Also, man, that dog has an awesome life. Cool vid!!
Actually, mushrooms are hazardous to dogs ...
That is a differant type, chicken of the woods is orange and probably better tasting but it still is a polypore
Gus King chicken of the woods are morels
Ive been watching your vids since you were at 75k subs, watching your videos is pretty calming. Also learning things that I can use when I go hunting in the winter and everything. I respect you very highly and everything you do!
Awesome thanks for your time uploading and sharing your adventure
👍🇺🇸
Bob & huck are back,👍nice foraging , whipped up a great pan of oyster mushrooms 🍄 😋 green bean b. vine, & wood grubs, give it a try huckleberry, he say no thanks ! None f that grub 4 me , that was funny silly old pup 😁 nice to have ya back.

Finally.... The legend is back
More to come as well.
I sure hope so
Great Video, and great to see the legendary Bob Hansler making content again! Those beetle grubs are excellent fish bait! I'd try for some fish before eating them, but that's just me.
Yes new video to watch during quarantine 😁
his videos are really good
i enjoy them 👌
Glad you found the channel.
You and Huck are a perfect match.
Hey man I'm glad to see you back out there and making videos!! Take it easy both of y'all and looking forward to the next one!
A reallife Crocodile Dundee... love it
The Dog is Clever...
That he is.
As always, good to see ya Bob and of course that good dog Huck. Enjoyed the video as I do all your foraging series.
Love your videos, I always get excited when you upload!
So glad to see a new video from you man!
Man and his dog in the wood. That's about as natural and bro-tier as you can get.
My man Bob is back! As always great vid.
I find those grubs in my garden in LA! They will bite you! My chickens 🐔 love them!
lol this dude teaches up better than online school
Glad to see u making videos Bob Hansler, been a min.
You had me at Chupacabra Seasoning! Love your content! I've been getting a lot more involved in my outdooor activities and recording it! Your channel inspires me! Also, glad to see you back!!
I'm so happy ur back man!!!! Excellent video and hope ur eyes r doing great and that ur able to make videos.
The briar tastes spot on to green beans, loved this tip the first time i saw it, thanks
I miss these videos, thank you for continuing to put out your great content
We’ll work at getting more out.
Has Huck every had any serious run ins with dangerous animals? I would guess not, he is a total badass :)
He followed pigs once, but the Sow thought he was one of the babies for the moment and we called him away. A rattlesnake startled him once and made him jump.
Bob Hansler Haha! I’d imagine Huck wouldn’t like to be part of a pig family
I love mushrooms. From what I know. All polypores are edible but some must be blanched before regular cooking. I have those same mushrooms growing from a stump in my back property, haven’t tried em yet. I didn’t know you could eat tender bryar shoots. Hi k cracks me up man. He doesn’t want to guine pig😂. Ya did a great job on that sauté. I could probably make a real excellent meal outta those foraged ingredients. Nice vid and great to see you bro... 😃🍺
I'm glad to see you back on here more often! Also glad your eyes are doing better
Ah, Beatle grubs! This video just goes to prove that with a grub like that . . . you KNOW you should be glad! ;-)
Thanks for sharing another great video. Love from Sparks Nevada.
Huck always cracks me up 😂
Great vid bob can’t wait for more!
Your videos are looking much more polished and in a way more enjoyable than ever c:
I believe that when your faithful pup, Huck, prays to Dog, he thanks his lucky stars that he is no longer feral!
Good to see you kicking around after the bite. Good deal.
Bout got bit the other day a copper head .They are everywhere here in N.C . 3 this week I have found.
Hi bob, awesome video as always!
Yo Bob !! Good to see you !! Greetin's from Ireland .
I'd love to see a video of you and Merriweather doing wild edibles.
Money says Huck won’t eat it.
Love how gentle you we're with picking the mushroom. Very relaxing video to watch
Always love learning something new here :)
Being in Australia I'm amazed at how green Texas can be. Pretty country.
Green year. Sub tropical down here in the southern tip. Headed to the deserts soon.
