I started woodworking as a hobby when I was 25 years old and I still only do it today as a hobby. My first table saw my father gave me the saw he bought the week I was born from Sears and I still use it today and I am 76 years old. I have made several pieces of furniture for my home and friends with this Craftsman saw. Both my father and now me take pride in keeping tools well maintained and work safely.
Kia ora from Aotearoa (New Zealand). I'm actually in the process of slowly but surely getting my own tools as the only thing I've had givento me was probably hand me down clothes, being the youngest of 11 children & I think it helps that I know how to prioritise things & a little patience helps. I'm a mother of four boys & 1 girl, but I didn't have a very good life, which now I use as stepping stones. I'm now 51 & beginning to enjoy my life with loads of excitement each time I get a new tool. What I love more is that when my brothers come to visit, I gain more knowledge on things I didn't know before & also learning to fix things on my own. I can't wait to have my own little workshop one day, too. But for now I'm happy learning from people like you both. Thank you for sharing this very informative video. It really helps us all. Hope all is well for you both & your family 🥰
I just wanna thank you guys. I’ve been fighting cancer for 3 years now. And you guys have gave me something to do. And thank God for brothers that let you borrow their tablesaw!!! 😁
Great advice from these two. I’m slowly building a wood working side hustle. My main hustle is small business consulting. I’m happy to speak to any of you free of charge. I also do bookkeeping.
Thank you for sharing openly your hardships, and believing God is in control of your life. I know there are seasons and agree that we all will go through difficult time, but faith does see us through. I am a novice at woodworking and enjoy watching and learning thru you. God bless you.
Just really starting out myself. Well, more serious with getting started. Finding deals on tools, wood, etc. is a big part of my business goals. No, I’m not trying to go big, rather I’m trying to just help buy groceries and essentials since becoming a sole caretaker of my mom and having to work from home. My biggest issue is in selling my projects.
Great show last night Matt and Amy. Matt, would it be possible for you to put a link on your channel and/or website to list all of the recommended books that one should read? Your last couple of live shows have been really good. Soon you will be at 500K Subscribers. Take care and God Bless to you and your family.
You would be surprised at how many pallets are destroyed at schools each year. Get in touch with the maintenance department at all the schools in your area and pick up free material to make your crafts.
I don't know if it would be considered purchasing affirm but, when I purchased my Dewalt 734 planer they put it on a interest free payment plan if paid in full within 6 months
thanks for all of your content! just wondering what software you use to record and broadcast your podcasts on youtube? it seems similar to streamyard. thinking of starting a podcast. thanks in advance!

Thank you for being open and able to talk about what we all have questions about on the difficult times.

It looks like you are getting close to 500000 subscribers, great job.
Thank you
As always... Good intel!!
Great show as always! I've got to see that coffee table Matt 🤣
There’s a Trop Rock sing called “Topo Chico and Lime”. Always wondered what the big deal was. 😊
That is fantastic! I never heard of that and and immediately searched it! Thanks!
Having a perfect bed won't solve snipe. The head rocks and needs support. Stumpy has a video on it as do many others. It works.

Any advice for balancing shop time with your relationship? How did you negotiate shop time on top of a full time job?
We discussed that a while back on an episode ruclips.net/user/liveSmaxnJFUjjM?feature=share
