What about Elvis Presley enterprises? The corporation that owns Elvis they make millions off Elvis daily. And this guy never made any money off of Elvis. He got 1.6 cents per book sold. Now he's just telling his experiences with Elvis that no one knows behind the curtains. I'm interested in the personal Elvis. And these guys are the ones that know more about Elvis than anyone. More than Priscilla or any relatives they were with him 24/7. Forgive the guy it's been 48 years since his firing.

@boxerfan2 I get that but they are promoting a legacy and my take is Red, Sonny and Dave Hebler were grown ass men when they were fired. If you truly were his friend and wanted to help by all means expose his drug problem but not take away his dignity by all the sordid half truths in a book. They did it out of anger and greed and wrapped it up as a wake up call. Red West even spoke to Elvis during the time of writing the book and even taped the conversation to try and expose him. The transcript is out there to read. The gravy train had run out for them and they were angry and bitter.

I get it, but Elvis could have taken the high ground face to face and dealt with the release of some members. Gave hebler an out for doing the book which no doubt he would have done anyway. Money money-Pink Floyd, either way.🤑

@boxerfan2 you're exactly right. Dave, Sonny, Red, Joe, Charlie, Lamar, they know and told us the real story. I'm so sick of "fans" blaming the Memphis Mafia for everything. And you're right, Priscilla had no idea and still doesn't.

You never walked in that man’s shoes, or saw life through his eyes. Elvis was out of control and heading towards death. They did the best they could do at the time. They tried to help him when they were there and they got fired for it. They tried the only option they had at the time. Unfortunately it was too late.

Elvis always gave credit to everyone he covered. His manager was the one responsible for buying the songs flat out, Elvis had no say so.
Chuck and Elvis are both great, musically. And in the famous words of Elvis, himself, “ there is only ONE king and that is Jesus Christ.

@@TheUltimateDoorsMod After Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, the African American newspaper, the Chicago Defender explained that: “When Elvis Presley breathed his last breath and the press hailed him as the ‘King of Rock,’ Ol’ Man River cried out, ‘Naw he ain’t! My friend Chuck Berry is the King of Rock. Presley was merely a Prince who profited from the royal talent of a sovereign ruler vested with tremendous creativity. Had Berry been white, he could have rightly taken [Presley’s] throne and worn his crown well.’”

@@kellettd3 now you have exposed your IQ.
Elvis had an IQ of 70. That's a “very low” IQ at the level of mild intellectual disability and unable to think for himself. Now for you 70 is what you should aspire to.

BS. Heard it before, and I don't think it's true. James Burton was a better guitarist and The Stamps were much better vocalists. Tom has been living off Elvis for decades.
