- Hey guys, here's a project we have been working on with Shauno from 4wd action for a while, its a new storage solution for Sooty the 80! This set up includes 2 large rear storage draws, a built in free standing table, a 3rd bolt on draw for extra storage when its needed, a 55L poly water tank, battery hatches to conceal and protect the dual battery setup, a half height cargo barrier to mount his pro touring concepts power board and a fridge box to isolate the fridge from the rest of the storage area. Yoda Dunbar it’s not actually mould, it’s the darkening of the Timber from where he’s been putting his big heavy hot pots on it and it’s effectively burnt the surface of the board. Our boards don’t get mould on them due to the inbuilt antibacterial properties of the camphor laurel timber...well unless you leave them wet for weeks on end stuffed away somewhere in the dark but yeah that’s burnt timber mate ......they’re scientifically proven to be the MOST hygienic chopping board you can buy - second to none which is why they’re so popular 👍

@@Simon_R No mate, as I mentioned to someone else here, it’s not actually mould. The timber has simply darkened from where he’s been putting his big heavy hot pots on it and it’s effectively burnt the surface of the board. These boards do not get mouldy period. We've been using 3 boards now for over 2 years and even when left damp after washing them up and not drying them properly, they don't get mould on them due to the species of timber they're made from. That's why they're so good. The manufacturer has only just recently sent me some info on the laboratory tests and even after 10 years use domestically, there was no bacteria on the boards - hence no mould either. I'll post the report on my facebook page.

I think the thumbs up stance has had its day. Love your work guys at Drifta. I shudder when I think how much all these ply boards and bags cost manufactured and installed. Love the nylon runners - what a beautiful solution!

Great build guys. You guys recently built a "Wagon 2" drawer, table with fridge slide with a DSS slide out prep table in my LRD4. I'm absolutely loving it. Can't rave enough about your (Drifta) customer service from ordering to delivery and installation at Gloucester NSW. Just the best. I have an INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster Dual Cab coming in mid 2024 and will be bringing it back to you guys for the drawers etc. Thanks again. Great products.

Went for a cruise past drifta HQ. I'm impresed must employ a few locals. The teflon slides are a good idea. My mates dad used to just use wax on wood later laminex slides.
Can’t wait to see how Shauno uses this new setup on his next episode

I like the sliding tray. Slides to the front when you brake, slides to the back when you take off. Very handy having the slide out table, rather than using the huge tail gate instead.
the table comes all the way out and sets up where ever you like, don't think the tailgate does that. the sliding tray is a friction fit and i guarantee you it does not slide anywhere mate. - kaito
@@DriftaCamping4WD But the tailgate has to come down to access the table right? I'm just wondering why engineer a table half the size of something that was already there, and is the same height. I'm not paying for it, so it doesn't really matter. Just doesn't make sense to me.
@@micksta323 table can go next to the camp fire, borrow it to a mate at camp, use it wherever you like. Every time you slide the draw out youll knock everything off the tailgate, its not an ideal table. and why not double your bench space? surely youd see that as an advantage

Not sure what u on about. He used them for a long time in some hard conditions. But they don’t do custom setups to utilise the space with the rear seats out, which is why these draws are ideal for him to maximise the useable space in the wagon.
Kaito Sutton he gained a table and one draw set wow mate if you think that’s worth 2 grand plus then go for it, good to know people waste money 👌 happy I spent my dollars on important parts !
