Josh, just to show how much your music is moving folks, I'll share this with you...My dad is almost 86 years old, and in poor health. He used to play and sing a lot in his younger years. Now he sleeps most of the days away, and my mom can't find anything that will motivate him to get up. I visited them a couple of weeks ago, and pulled up your videos on YT, and started playing them loud so my dad could hear it back in his bedroom. We were in the living room. After about the 2nd one we watched, here comes my dad shuffling into the living room to watch....we watched over an hour's worth of your videos, and he stayed wide awake listening and appreciating your music. My mom said to him, now I know how to get you up! Thanks for sharing your broad range of musical styles....dad really loved the older songs he used to sing, i.e. Tennessee Waltz, Folsom Prison Blues, Hey Good Lookin, and the older country stuff. Thanks again, and please keep 'em coming!

Say what you want about the oft-maligned algorithm, it managed to bring two of my favorite musicians on RUclips together, whom I discovered on two completely independent paths. Even 20 years ago, this possibility would be nothing short of a miracle, but today we can bring two harmonious talents in a cacophonous sea together. What a fantastic time to be alive.
I hadn't heard of Josh Turner until this week. Then he shows up playing with two of my favorites: Mary and Reina del Cid. Now I'm reading a comment from you, Rhett, another of my favorites. I guess my preferences in music are more consistent than I thought.
I remember watching this guy's cover of Sultans of Swing years ago and spending weeks learning it note by note, he's come a long way since then, and he deserves it.
I’ve known Josh all his life & have loved his music. I just heard Mary for the first time & love her as if I’d known her forever. What a beautiful song & collaboration. You two need to collaborate on a complete album of songs. Your voices are perfect together. Wow! Congratulations on a hit!

Please, don't wait for them to ask you to collaborate with in 2020, instead, bring your best to the table and ASK THEM to collaborate with you.... your voice is an exceedingly rare and pure commodity, and your money maker. Find fantastic sound engineers and producers to mix your work too... I see huge stars in your future, if you do so.

This is one of the best formats for Mary Spender where she carries most of the singing and gets a lot of help with guitar. It comes out really beautiful that way. They other best is what she did with Sultans of swing with Leo doing Metal and her doing Mary Spender, that was genius.
Fully agree, this is one of Mary's very, very best collaborations. As well as Sultan's of Swing. Her voice, when she goes there, at times, reminds me of Judy Collins. Soooo, sooo pure!

I'm speechless. There is so much to unpack here - you played and sang flawlessly. As a guitarist, I know how hard it is to keep that rhythm and to be able to harmonize so well at the end, brilliant. Mary, I've already mentioned how deep and soulful your alto voice is and you sing this soothing soft soprano here. Josh, that register with "i belong to you" was the highlight of the song for me.

I have been following Josh turner for a couple of years now, And this duet between the two you is awesome! I am a 70 year old guy n Canada who has been playing guitar for over 55 years now, fighting the arthritis in my hands lately, but still with a huge love of music and musicians. Wow. I stumbled onto Josh about 6 months ago on You Tube and started to listen to and watch his guitar playing/singing. He just has that innocent look and comes across so musically pure. I also stumbled across Mary several months back and watched several of her informative acoustic guitar sessions as I have dusted off my old Guild after a 35 year layoff and an trying to learn. However, I had never heard her sing until now. Where have you been hiding that great voice. Fantastic!!! The tow of you together sound great.
I don't recall hearing two musicians who were so in synch with each other since the Everley Brothers. When Josh comes in at 0:12 it fits so seamlessly with Mary's playing that it sounds like more of the same instrument. And their voices and diction match perfectly. I know that Josh is great at picking up various singing styles, but he seems to have a natural match here. Even more so than with Carson.

Holy friggin balls that was incredible. Mary's voice and Josh's shredding at the end. Doesn't get any better.
Even the panning in the mix is perfect where the harmonies come in. Not easy when just using one stereo Mic. What a solo. So bluegrass and brilliant.
