Summary:The story begins 20,000 years ago in northern Europe, during the Ice Age, when Koda, the son of a tribal leader, falls off a cliff during a group hunt and is never heard from again. Everyone thought Koda was dead, but unfortunately, a flood swept him away, saving his life. However, the current sent Koda on a journey home to the wilderness, far away from his tribe, under the threat of unusually harsh weather and extremely scarce resources.
During his journey, Koda met a lone wolf, who became his traveling companion and whom he named Alpha. Alpha is the leader of the pack, and through his time with Alpha, Koda learns many skills to survive in the wilderness and is awakened to his inner wolf.
