There’s no player ever that can transmit the same emotions from watching him play football. Not even Ronaldinho with his magic, Maradona apart from talent, was pure courage and effort on the pitch. His will to win at every cost was present in every game. No matter if he had to hand ball, or get past 6 players, he’ll do it. That’s what gets to you the most, when the things are going bad he shows up as the best ever. He never hides. Never understood ppl comparing him to Messi.

Maradona last years career are really underrated. People (as always) said he was finished after he left Napoli because he didn’t scored goal as ofthen, the thing they ignore is that he played as a complete midfielder since then.
Maradona in bad shape was excellent for Sevilla, one of the best midfielder and with less time for adapt and less ball possession was one of the best playmaker with less than 40 games.
With Newell’s he was even better and faster than in Sevilla, but he didn’t play as many games.
And last with Boca, he was good midfielder with the team, and his lasts games with Argentina in the World Cup were insanely good as a 36 years old midfielder, actually, I don’t thing exist a better midfielder than Maradona at his 36 in Argentina in the history of football.

Since way back then I have been a hincha of RIVER PLATE. I have never seen a FOOTBALLER come close to his skill. I do not think there will ever be a FINER FOOTBALLER than the GOD of FOOTBAL.

Sin Diego Armando Maradona el football no es y no será NUNCA MAS lo mismo. Se fue uno de los Dioses del football. Otro que considero a su nivel, y no habló sólo tecnicamente(pq Messi tb no tiene nada que envidiar a Maradona en este aspecto) sino en pasión, carisma y magia que trasmetia a la gente es Ronaldinho Gaucho.

Yo tengo 56 y lo vi cuando el tenía 18 y yo terminaba la primaria..lo vi en la cancha de CENTRAL en Rosario se estaban preparando para el mundial del juvenil del 79 que lo ganaron..te juro me emocionó ver a un tipo hacer maravillas con la redonda..en esa época los defensores eran criminales Passarella , Higuaín padre, Pernía ,etc y le pegaban duro el seguía gambeta y lujos.
Vi mucho fútbol y jugué en inferiores de NOB Y ARGENTINOS DE ROSARIO y nunca vi algo así...era fuerte además de hiper hábil.
Lo volví a ver en NOB cuando volvió a la Argentina antes del 94 seguía intacto...NUNCA OLVIDO ESA ELEGANCIA AGILIDAD VISIÓN REFLEJOS Y LUJOS ..UN TIPO ÚNICO.
