Hi doctor, if a post mbbs student take up mrcs and clear we will endup with a st3 job which is 1st year of higher speciality training by skipping the core clinical training part? Aren’t post mbbs students at bit at disadvantage compared to post pg people in securing a st3 position ?
@@Riya-m9k1t i do not see it as a disadvantage as you will have six years of speciality training which is believe is adequate time. But after passing mrcs also you can still work in core training posts, if you want to.
Hello doctor I hope you are doing well My question is what if I didn't do an internship after mbbs and cleared both parts of mrcs will I still get to register with the GMC? Thank you
You need mbbs degree certificate from a college that's included in the world directory of medical school to be eligible for MRCS. I don't know how you can get that without internship. Internship is mandatory for GMC Registration.
Hi sir, just wanted to ask what difference does it make if you do pg and then give mrcs or giving mrcs after mbbs as i have heard indian pg degree isnt recognized in uk but only as surgical experience and you would land up at ST2 level as it is after mrcs
Great question ma’am. This is the very reason I had made this video. Most people prefer PLAB route after MBBS but I feel if one were to choose MRCS after MBBS one would be able to join the UK training pathway at ST3 level. Advantage of MRCS after pg in India is that it becomes slightly easier to pass MRCS and working in the UK also is less challenging due to postgraduate experience in India. But MRCS after MBBS has the advantage/disadvantage of not having to do postgraduate training in two countries.
I’m a Medical graduate from Philippines, I want to go for MRCS PART A. But here different agents have different pathways. I’m so stuck right now. Kindly advise
Very neatly explained sir. Really motivated. Hope to see more videos about what platforms and tools to use in preparation of MRCS part A
This video might help you do well in MRCS Part A.

Does any research or poster presentations matter for getting into st3 after mbbs

@@sanjoymukherjee5347 I have no idea about plab as I didn't attempt it. But PLAB is the more popular option for people who have just completed mbbs.
