I made the jackfruit carnitas recipe and used it as a filling for some vegan flautas, I also paired it with a cashew cilantro jalapeno crema and a cashew chipotle crema as a topping and it was so delicious! I also made it for a family gathering and didn't tell anyone it was vegan till they were gone and everyone was taken back because it was so yummy and actually tasted like carnitas, it went faster than all the other regular animal-based food at the party so I highly recommend making!!

I'm not vegan, but I love trying vegan things. They're really tasty and some of them I much rather prefer

@@MayIPleaseAskYou The question is wrong as it provokes hostility to all things vegan. It promotes an "Us vs. Them" mentality. It would be far more effective to encourage progress and offer assistance to go the rest of the way. It is human nature to combat accusatory language.

I'm not vegan but in my family we do meatless Mondays and all of these look really good.
I have literally just made the Butternut Squash Mac no Cheese and it was okay. Definitely not the flavor of Macaroni and Cheese; it just has a similar color to it. The flavor is like a mild squash/pumpkin taste with a hint of brown onion.
I have put plant-based butter, vegan mayo, a few lemon squeezes, and much more nutritional yeast into the sauce I had made. Which I like the flavor somewhat more. Next time, I will add a plant-based cheese that I like.
I am a meat eater but for the past almost 3 years I have been eating a lot of vegan junk food and vegan as well as vegetarian meals. Most for nutrition, and as I grow older (I'm age 36 going on 37 this year 2021) I notice some foods don't feel too good in my body anymore like dairy and certain meat. But I still eat meat and fish from time to time. Date Stamp: 15sept21

You can find Gudeg in Jogja, indonesia. It's made of jackfruit with a lot spices and it's tasted like chicken. So good~

@@michelewilliams2920 It's fruit with a stringy, meat like texture if you buy it unripened and then cook it. But you can also buy it ripened and it taste sweet, like mango and peach in one. Ripened, it could work in a fruit smoothie. It's an interesting fruit.

Tip: unless you’re going no waste, use crock pot liners!! Total life saver so you don’t spend forever soaking the crock pot if anything is stuck to the sides! (Or forever scrubbing it if you don’t soak it and/or soaking does not work)

Some people eat slow-cooked dog meat in my country. I have tried it before, it has a similar taste to lamb.
Dog meat tastes especially delicious when marinated in lime juice, garlic, ginger, green onion, soy sauce, red chili paste, then stir fried with broccoli and mushrooms and rice.
The meat just falls off the bone 🍖😋😋😋

Do it! Biggest inconvenience I experienced was how much I was dreading not being able to eat tacos before going vegan. After that it wasn't hard at all. Getting over that initial fight against your will is like ripping an old baby band aid off, anticipation hurts more than the actual ripping of the band aid
