What some do not know about Poe was his writings on scientific subjects and is widely considered the first to speculate that the universe was created by the explosion of a singular object. Thus was the first known mention of what we now know as the "Big Bang".
I remember reading two of Edgar Allan Poe’s poems, The Raven & The Bells, at school. I’ve also read Poe’s story The Cask Of Amontillado in high school, & some of his other stories I read include The Pit & The Pendulum, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Murders in the Rue Morgue, & The Masque of the Red Death.
I am always moved by anything to do with Van Gogh, the man, his life and of course his art, which I find both beautiful and sad at the same time. His final colorful stage is simply beyond anything else I've experienced. So rich and revealing.
@@rsr789 Absolutely, I made that comment as he started that segment. When it finished I realized what a tragedy it all was. Same for Picasso’s wife. Poor woman. She gave him everything and ended up quite famous too. If only he hadn’t betrayed her so often.

I had to walk past Poe's grave every day from the subway to the dental schoo in Baltimore. On 10/7/2003, walking past his grave, I found a small bat hanging on the bricks. It was 10:00 AM. Why an animal that normally would seek at least darkness during the day would chose this sunny spot was a mystery, but very fitting for the day.
I am very grateful that Theo Van Goch finally got some notice. I still have an “emperors new clothes” attitude towards cubism but fine artists tend to make fine art whatever the venue. Interestingly both Van Gogh and Picasso had tremendous friction and competitiveness with their fathers. Thanks much for all the stories that have more import than they might seem
Only reason i know Edgar allan Poe and his 'Raven' poem really well is from the simpsons, Treehouse of horror specials, ive seen it so many times, that its stuck in my mind. I have to say those are my favourite for some reason..lol. Idk why but im not even one for getting really freaked out even. Anyways, i think you did a really good job with that poem!
Odd. My reproduction of SSNight is from grand master who used the same canvas brushes and paint as Vincent did. An exact facsimile. Took twenty years to outgas the oils. Its... Magnificent. Colors took many years to shine through

She was only his second choice! i wouldnt put up with that..lol if someone doesnt pick me from the start well then they'll never get another chance, i wont be some guys second choice.. WRONG!!! Portuguese author JOSÉ SARAMAGO received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998 for his book 'Memorial do Convento'. Why do Americans always seem to 'forget' to consider people from smaller and, possibly, less important countries??? It's really not funny. I strongly suggest that in the future you thoroughly check your sources and information when preparing a video!
It's not that. THG said that Kipling was the only person who ever won a Nobel Prize in literature (1907). I only said that such information is not correct because the Portuguese writer José Saramago also won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1998.
My humanities prof - said we were free to criticize Picasso if we first explained why he was considered great by art and humanities experts first - and I still do, even though I have enjoyed many of his works and hated more - I appreciate and dare to criticize (leaning more toward the latter)
