    I feel like these kayak companies ,should have lights and wire options available for different lights and fish finders . The money we spend on them just add it to the cost . Ty for the video lights are nice .

      I agree. Fish finders are installed on almost all "fishing" kayaks so having actual through hull from factory seems like it should be included. Light should definitely be something that motorized kayaks have from factory.

    At time 4:48 it shows you have plugged in the port side light, however you have the green light strip snapped in there. In the end when you turn them on the green light is on the STB side where it belongs so you must have caught your mistake and corrected it. Pointing it out incase others follow what you are doing.

    Sweet setup, I been thinking about lights but I don't go on my yak at night. Thanks again for the walk through, I might be doing this later on this year.

    Nice work, and solid vid. I don't do much night fishing (or even low light) precisely because I am not lit up, but I am saving your video because sometime in the future I plan on lighting mine up for just this. Can I ask though, why you didn't use any marine goop on the led strip light inserts as a precautionary measure?

    • @KainOutdoors
      @KainOutdoors  4 года назад

      Thank you. I am looking forward to trying more night fishing. I really wanted them for safety since I sometimes launch in the dark to get to my spots by day light. Its a very small boat and there is always a lot fo traffic so I really want to be visible.
      You certainly could use adhesive. With the gasket it comes with and the fact it actually threads its self into the plastic I thought it was not necessary on those strip lights or the button lights. I did add adhesive on the safety screw because it a very tiny screw and the the plastic piece it screws through is just surface mounted and the adhesive backing does not extend onto it.

      @@KainOutdoors Ok. Thanks. I understand about being the small boat in a big boat world. I fish a Topwater 120 PDL, but last year we launched in an area near a ferry terminal and had to cross the ferry path. It is really disconcerting when a boat that large is bearing down on you, even if logically you are a safe distance from it, it is still a little nerve wracking

  • @camdiesel5812
    @camdiesel5812 4 года назад +2

    Yak-Power should really make Left and Right l.e.d. strips. I have yet to install my lights, but noticed that one side will have the logo upside down. That is unless I don't care about having the plug ends both facing the forward position. Not a big deal, but it's just weird that they didn't think of that since most will mount the strips on each side of the kayak
