Yeah the Yak Power system is hard to beat, pricey but the advantage to me is the compactness of it all, unlike all the large aluminum fishing boats I've rigged kayaks just don't really have room to rig up normal switch panels and all that go with it. I'll be keeping my money spent on the low end though plus I never wire my fishfinders to an external switch, don't really see the purpose in that although most people do. I don't want to tie up an entire circuit for something that already has a switch on it within arms reach.

Nice set up! I like the leds. What size paddle do you use on your 127?
Adam Fuentes I'm using a 240 in the low position and 260 in the high position. A paddle that is adjustable helps a lot. Werner, Bending Branches, and Assault all have good options for it.
Yea Chris my name is Thomas and I am getting ready to put yak power and a trolling motor on my kayak but I dont understand what a relay is. I got o yak powers website and they have instructions on how to put a trolling motor on there system and they have websites for all the parts that I will need. Well I have everything added to the cart except the relay. The one it told me to buy has like 5 wired and it wants me to connect that to a 8 guage wire. I dont understand
Cris , can you use the park pole in the scuffers to anchor ??
It's generally not recommended but I do it when I want to stay still in grass. I don't if I need to bury the pole in mud or gravel. Too rigid

I cant get the outlets to work. The remote is lit up and I select B for bow and plus my fish finder into the outlet but get nothing back

Is the Yak-Power unit still working? Mine stopped working after about a year(Outside the warranty). I was going to buy another from amazon but I started reading reviews and it seems others are having the same problem with the unit not lasting very long(approx a season or two).
I just go the yak power remote. It only there on my back lights. I can get it to turn off or turn everything us on. Any idea why

How do you mount the battery box inside the kayak ?
L P it sits. Inside and is secured with high density foam. There are connections on the inside that hook to the terminals.

I just got my order of the yak power system I haven’t installed it yet. I’m trying to figure out how to install it because I’d like to leave as much room as possible in my pod. I’m assuming the only thing in your pod is your transducer wire correct?

I have the ss127, how were you able to screw the nut down on the cockpit lights. Hard to reach that area
Mike Flores you don’t use the nut. It’s for Jon boats etc. drill the hole and use a socket to tighten it down. It’s self tapping.
