I've been eyeing this light system for a while now. I will likely pull the trigger this year. It's cool to see how innovative they are with the different remote control options.
I have been through a TON of these button lights. Water gets in the front of the light under the glass dome, rusts out the element, and they fail. They were nice enough to replace them a few times, but they really need to improve these so they don't leak. They WILL GET WET on a kayak.
This salesman seems like he can't wait to get to the bar. I have been to many many many shows from gun, fishing, hunting, and even tanning. I have even represented at these shows. This young mans dad must own the company cause he is a shitty salesman, sorry, just being honest.
They should come up with some higher amperage solutions, for trolling motor installs. Oh, and also develop scupper lights. Not all of us wanna drill holes in our kayaks merely to install nightfishing lights.
Looks like you missed the 360* light (which is recommended for kayaks). I like the idea of a light that can be switched from a convenient location, unlike the ever popular visipole/visicarbon.
Steve Breault we actually showed a new 360 degree light that will plug right into our system and easily be switched on/off. It also has an integrated mounting pad with USB port for adding a GoPro or other action camera and keeping it charged. If you look closely at the back of the kayak, you can see it.
You only need red/green if you are motorized. If you are a paddle only craft you do not. In fact red/green signals you are capable of moving out of way quickly to powerboats.

iCast was a great show for us. Thank you for the coverage.
Yak Power Products I’m glad! Looked like a high quality well thought out product line.

Good to know. Thanks for review and feedback. Supernova lights is the other big name in kayak lighting (Mariner sails sells them)
@@KayakDIY I look into them I need something to replace these. I have four out of six button lights completely rusted out and dead on my kayak again.
That's some pretty awesome stuff right there!!! Be pretty cool to integrate with my Lowrance unit.
What a great setup! Gonna look into it.👍
Nice setup!

Will that black yak power box fit inside the 128t storage space in between your legs in the kayak ?

J Holl the kayak in the video has a trolling motor that is switched on/off by our system using a relay module we are considering introducing for 2019.

What color kayak deck light colors do you recommend that will not mess with your eyes night vision thanks
Red. All day red.
Pretty cool👍👍
I love their lighting. It has a cool self tapping design that is awesome. The button lights are my favorite. Dang bright for their size.
Need bow red/green
I will be uploading a new lighting system that I think is pretty cool and easier to swap between boats should you have multiple.
