I’m 41 and BMX has been in my life since I was 11. I raced for some years and then went strictly dirt and park and street, and even when I quit riding (stupidly) after I shattered my knee cap at 9th street my my freshmen year of college, I still kept the passion for it and kept up with it/watched videos etc. years later as a father my son wanted to start riding and now we ride together and go to contests when possible and hopefully will go to Woodward together this year. I am not young anymore and have responsibilities so am not doing crazy stuff anymore but I still love BMX all these years later and now it’s something my son and I love together. Long story short, getting kids to get on a bike and try BMX can change their lives forever. Riding is awesome, but the community that comes with it is incredible. So glad to see people truly passionate about keeping BMX alive and introducing to younger generations
I’m 40 and got into bmx at 11 as well. I’m right there with you. I love bmx still even tho I don’t ride like I did when I was young. Bmx will always be in our blood! 👊🏻
Dhers and Cranmer were the first guys to me that felt like the next generation after Mirra had made the blueprint. I thought Dhers would have retired years ago, his career is insane, and he earned every bit of it.
25:00 (ish) - I think what was so good anout getting into bmx in the late 90s for me, was the fact that it felt accessible. You had the super stars that were wayyyyy out of your element (jay miron, Nyquist, mirra .. etc), but there were core riders like Garrett Byrnes, taj, Joe rich.. that we’re also really good, but they did tricks that felt attainable. That’s what attracted me to bmx. I didn’t have to be this insane bike rider.. doing a turndown at the trails I built, I felt like Garrett Byrnes or punjab. Nowadays, what’s televised is unattainable for a lot of people.. watching a Logan Martin run for example, or anyone else riding those top tier events, would actually put me off trying. I know that’s not what you want to hear, but I’ve met kids that when they look up to someone and they’re not immediately good at what they’re doing, they lose interest in it quickly. For me, I loved the core side of riding, I loved trails and riding bowls and building diy spots.. I think there needs to be more events like the vans pro cup.. to open kids’ eyes to the potential of what they else there is in bmx.. doing an air or carving a bowl is just as good, if not better and more attainable than doing an oppo triple whip. Just a thought from an old crow.
The new show sounds like king of the road and real street with an after noon timeline? Good luck with everything on that. On this episode you guys have pointed out you ignore jury duty summons and looks like do not pay your medical bills. Sounds like a group of guys who never grew up LOL.
Panza seems like he’s focusing on his other channel (Bonzi Garage uploaded a month ago). Caiden seems to be doing good too (not sure if he’s riding anymore through).

Honestly happy with the one camera. With cutting to the screen grab it gives enough movement to the podcast without the need for the second camera.
thanks for the update on loupos
About damn time, barely have enough workday left to finish this 😂😂😂
Hell yeah dude I’m off in 9 mins myself! This is unacceptable! Hahaha
I’m taking an extended lunch break to get as far as possible. Then I’ll finish up on my ride home lol

Where is the cat at?
31:00 Joey trying to explain this to Dennis is SO funny 😂
Cobbs event kinda sounds like that scavenger hunt thing Red Bull did in the mid 2000s. Sounds dope.
Dennis those trails in wide awake nightmare were bucks trails in Erie PA
You guys should try to get Stephen Murray on the pod! Would be rad to hear his story
Nice little shout out for Sean Pointing's kids book.
