    Muy interesante este vídeo. A mi personalmente me gusta visitar los lugares históricos, los monumentos antiguos...y descubrir la rica herencia hispana en Texas. El Paso es una ciudad que merece la pena visitarla.

    This is a wonderful video of El Paso.
    Great videography of the city. I grew up in El Paso. Attended UTEP, enlisted in the U.S. Navy and landed in California. Thumbs up to the creator of this fine imagery. I now live in Northern CA near San Francisco and love calling El Paso Home. The people of El Paso are what make this city so very unique.
    The people are the most friendliest people you will encounter anywhere.
    A fine city! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Although I'm in England, I got to know a guy who runs a radio station - KVAN 90.4 FM in El Paso. I've been lucky enough to co-host a show through Skype so, I've learned quite a bit about El Paso. It certainly is a place I would like to visit one day. Although El Paso isn't very well known in England, we do have Old El Paso food products sold in our supermarkets lol

    • @DonSancho15
      @DonSancho15 5 лет назад

      The Old El Paso products, which I avoid, are not from El Paso as El Paso, TX does authentic Mexican food. Old El Paso just doesn't get it. :) I thonk there is a bar or tavern called El Paso in England as I think one existed.

      Welcome to El Paso! Although I was born and raised there, I moved away in early 1999 for a new career in Austin and visited often as my parents still live there. My parents retired and moved back to El Paso for many good reasons. Despite what you may have heard, El Paso does have good things: Friendly people, climate (just dry hot summer), affordability, mountains, great food (especially authentic Mexican food), and proximity to New and Old Mexico (AZ/NM border is only 3 hours away). From what my friends told me, El Paso is definitely getting much better and have personally seen it for myself that far East El Paso is basically a complete different city when the entire area was a desert. It was also where I learned to use firearms at 10 years old practicing on targets.
      As a direct descendant of Spanish conquistador and military leader, Capt. Francisco "Chamuscado" Sánchez, he accompanied Fray Agustín Rodríguez and the expedition party in 1581-1582 known as the Chamuscado-Rodriguez Expedition. It was this expedition that made the first documented history in the territory of what is now Texas. They walked north along the wild Rio Grande that was anywhere from a half mile to 1 mile wide at that time. Due to the rocky hills and rough terrains around and west of University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) along I-10, they crossed the Rio Grande because the western bank was just a flat terrain where they could walk through with more ease. Many people didn't know that it was El Paso where Texas' history began. In 1598, Juan de Oñate and his expedition party followed the same route that lead to the founding of Santa Fe, NM in 1610.
      I know that not many are interested in history, but since you live in El Paso, the above is to make you aware of El Paso's history, but there are so much more so I won't bore you more. ;) Again, welcome to El Paso!

      Billy Abraham was forced to sell his building under bankruptcy court and several of them were purchased as of two or three weeks ago. New owners now and we're hoping the new owners will renovate them. I see that your post was from 5 years ago, but time is changing. ;)

      Prosperity in Downtown El Paso has been declining since the early 1980s that many businesses just do not get enough customers to pay the rent. However, that's being reversed as of the past 5 years or so, old buildings are converted to lofts, boutique hotels, revived night life (slowly), new ball park, new hotel (Marriott?), redesigned Plaza, and restaurants, people are moving to Downtown so there're more people there nowadays than what's shown in the film.

    i like this video and all but may i suggest: slowing down your pans, first the viewer gets dizzy with fast pans like that, second a lot of the detail that you are trying to show off is lost in the blur. another thing you can use is called a steady cam there are cheap ones out there but if you can't afford one you can use the tripod that you have and simply hold it in one hand to steady your shot when you are moving. again they are just suggestions.

      Downtown El Paso was a bustling center from the time the first railroads arrived in May and June 1881 and it continued to be a vibrant center until the mid-1980s when it began to dwindle. Businesses weren't getting enough customers to keep paying the rents so they closed and moved outwards to the newer areas (malls, new development, etc.). However, Downtown is still busy at night and there's a lot of construction, renovated buildings, new lofts, new businesses, new hotels, etc. The old Plaza Hotel is currently being renovated and Camino Real Hotel has changed the name returning to the original name, Hotel Paso del Norte. Downtown is being revived.
