Thanks for a tour of a city where I was born, grew up and worked for 57 years; then to move away in 2009 to East Texas. The place has changed quite a lot since moving away. The only thing to remain the same is the colorful culture, the warm people who live there and the great food. The climate can’t be beat. Lots of history there; a gem of a city.
Nice video man. El Paso gets alot of hate, but you can't beat the weather, good food, good people and the best hospitality..And hey...We may not be hip like Austin and we don't have a beautiful Riverwalk like San Antonio, but at least our power grid is reliable 😉.....
Good food??? 🤣🤣🤣 there's a severe lack of good food .. nor variety.... if your taste buds are endless fast food or mediocre Mexican food and chicken wing joints on every street then el paso is for you. . Even the BBQ and steakhouses are a let down. And the sushi here..what a joke.. el paso is seriously slacking in the food scene.. people are nice tho..
weather??? its either hot or dusty as fuck outside 😂😂😂😂and the food is ok.. not *that* good lol. Its growing but shit, just here till I graduate than im out xD
The mountains are beautiful, no where else can the Mexican food even come close to comparing, it is hot but there's no tornados, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, it can get cold at night being a desert, but the days are sunny, not rainy all the time, it's lovely. There's no place like it❤
So glad you made a video of our city. El Paso is a gem that most overlook. It has it’s on special type of beauty, and you captured a lot of it. Good work amigo!
I have been to El Paso Texas once upon the time and I have nice memories. It was real pleasure to watch your video till the end.. Thank you for sharing. Regards from Slovenia.
Hi, thanks for taking me to Scenic drive where I visited many times when I was in Fort Bliss .50 years years ago I was a military exchange student to Fort Bliss from Japan, I was there totally about 2 years. I was already retired and with my friend we are thinking of Visiting to EL Paso before go to Heave Hahaha!!. Muchas Gracias
Great video, from 2015-2018 I would travel to ELP 3-4x a year for work. It is truly a hidden gem and some of the nicest people live in an around the city. Lovely landscapes, incredible food, a lot of sun! a great little baseball stadium and the downtown was recently renovated. Miss my trips there and hoping to get back down there very soon to see all the great friends I made down in the Sun City. Thanks for this great video, really took me back and now can't wait to go back.
Coming from the desert part of California. I want to move out to a desert city because I’m used to dry heat and I absolutely hate humid heat and El Paso is dry heat and it’s cheaper
Downtown area has been pretty vacant for some years now (although there is some investment) but east side notably is getting bigger by the years. El Paso has it’s own vibe that you certainly don’t find in some other cities.
@@natenate88 that isn't true. but i'm from el paso, and i gotta say, this video does make it seem really boring. i was actually watching because i was thinking of maybe moving back, but this video really doesn't make me want to.
You read my mind!! I’ve been wondering when you would come to El Paso!! I know you’re not a fan of Texas, Jeff (I won’t hold that against you 😉) I think it’s gorgeous. I live in San Antonio but would love to live in El Paso and be close to New Mexico and Arizona while enjoying the low cost of living and benefits of being a Texas resident. So, what are your thoughts on El Paso?
I like Texas. I think El Paso more New Mexico than Texas considering how far it away it is from all other parts of Texas. 7 hour drive to San Antonio. Overall El Paso is cool.
Like all those street shops EL Paso looks off the hook, quiet, clean, not too crowded, only i don't speak spanish so i don't think i could live there, but wish could in a way.
Greetings from Las Cruces, New Mexico. El Paso is just an hour away. El Paso is far and away the most friendly city in Texas. Their airport is absolutely gorgeous!
Iam from El Paso Texas born and raised there is alot of cotton fields here in El Paso also El Paso has alot of parks and alot of swag and also there is alot of people that no longer serve you here in El Paso
Seems nice, looks better than San Antonio tx. I moved back to S.A 2 years ago, I didn't like it then and still don't like it now. I'm thinking I might move to El Paso, I like how close it is to AZ and NM. I'm more used to the southwest culture than South Texas culture and el paso seems like its more southwest than Texas. I'm I right? I hope so.
Cant wait for the Midwest vids- you should consider making vids of the travel going place to place with the people you’re with- seems like that would be fun
There is a bunch of swag here in El Paso along time ago there use to be alot of cotton fields here in El Paso El Paso also has lots of parks my name is Daniel Rodriguez I was born and raised here in El Paso and lived my entire here in El Paso which is 38 years
This is a nice guide to downtown El Paso. But there is a lot more to El Paso than the downtown area. You missed such wonderful places, such as the iconic Franklin Mountains, Chamizal, national Park, the El Paso, Rose garden, Fort Bliss, the El Paso zoo,the Fountains at Farah… I don’t feel the core of downtown really represents what El Paso truly is all about. Nevertheless, great video!
Facts I live in Albuquerque and and I'm considering moving to El Paso. But Albuquerque to be fair is a better version of Pueblo Colorado and Las Cruces.
Living is expensive but the pay is much much higher then elpaso. I’m from elpaso and live north of Dallas You have to find a way to get your own spot which is hard for the first couple years here usually
Lots of history. Once correction though, Ysleta was settled by the Tiguas in the 1680's and they are the oldest community in Texas. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

If you can look past the non existent job opportunities and lack of upward mobility, actually not a bad place to live.

Hard not to notice the complete lack of foot traffic.
i used to live in el paso and it wasn't like that! creepy!! but maybe because of covid? :/
COVID is what stopped all the foot traffic, but it will rebound again.
This video made me so nostalgic!!! Can't wait to visit this summer!! Hello from China
I got to live there in the mid 90s. Awesome place
Nice pick on the music, Jeff. I could listen to that floaty-dreamy mex-western stuff all day, so chill and regionally special.
