Thank God the alligator went after the fish rather than the boy.
Have you seen the size of the gator?
The gator was already stalking the boy. That fish actually saved him, they had no clue that the gator was even there.
@@saldzbob9972 The size of the gator means nothing if it managed to pull that child in the water. By the time the father could have reacted the gator could have very quickly submerged with the child and started the death roll. And you have no clue whether it was the only gator there.
@@TypingforDumbs u kidding right? That boy was at least 50% heavier than that gator. No way in holy hell could that gator drag him in the water.
@@PremiumRaizo A human can lift weights heavier than themselves and many animals can as well. Crocs and Alligators are known to have strong muscles outside of their already dangerous biting power. There is a reason why heavy grown people who get on top of even the small crocs and gators will often have trouble holding it down. These creatures are extremely powerful and it is said the you should never underestimate how dangerous an animal is based on its size. All that gator had to do anyways was get this kid on the ground and go for his throat, child would be as good as dead by the time dad "maybe" managed to pry it off. Big maybe cause these things are not know to let go easily and I didn't see any weapons ready to kill it. Plus, pulling it off forcefully could potentially cause even more damage as well depending on what it sunk into.
Also no, there is no guarantee that this 4-6 year old boy is heavier than that gator. Average weight of a child that size just looking at him is between 35-50lb and that gator wasn't exactly a hatchling. Might look small to you, but these animals can carry pretty underestimated amounts of pounds for their size. And even if not heavier, a small gator can still pose a threat and do severe damage to an adult, much less a child, so why act as though it wasn't dangerous regardless? Thing could still damage a child badly regardless of fatality.
As someone who has lived in Florida my whole life, there’s no way I’d let my kid get that close to the shore of a pond especially with the sun setting. In pretty much every pond or lake in Florida, you can almost guarantee there’s gonna be gators.
Is there a gator hunting season? We have deer hunting season up north. And deer only cause car accidents, not grab your kid or pets.
@@CH-1984 yeah there is. I don’t hunt though.
That is a major exaggeration, lol. It's not unheard of, and in some areas they're pretty common. But they're far from being in almost every pond, or even half of all ponds, lol.

Children have no world experience, they react immediately to anything they consider danger because they don’t understand what’s truly happening 95% of the time, especially at that age. Big scary creature comes out the water; Run.
Adults have worldly experience, they know what fear is, they know what danger is. It’s like being older than 15 and realizing 100% of horror movies these days are at most 5% accurate to anything considered Real, so horror movies just because comical and hilarious.
There’s no truth, there’s nothing to actually be afraid of, there’s no reason at all to be scared whatsoever. So why would you go to a horror movie in theaters as an adult and genuinely be scared like a little kid?
.
Same here. It’s a baby alligator. Sure, it could’ve dragged the kid in; But what’s that scrawny piece of shit going to do to an adult? Bash it’s skull in with your foot and roast it over a fire just simply to assert your dominance over the Alligator species as a whole.
This is like watching someone you know for a fact was Marine veteran who saw active combat act completely unfazed from a bullet flying by his head, and even though you know beyond all doubt he’s been through this exact scenario hundreds of times, you have the mental ineptitude to say;
“WhAt’S wRoNg WiTh YoU? ArE yOu StuPiD? WhY aReN’t YoU rEaCtInG lIkE a NorMal PerSon?”
Because he watched his friends die from mortar rounds and witnessed children get turned into paste by .50 Cal shots, all the while countless thousands of bullets flew passed him day in and day out.

That gator gonna have a fishing line from its stomach attached to a fishing pole until it’s stomach acid dissolves the line.
@@jamesnelson8469 I reckon the teeth would tear the line before it gets down to the stomach
@@tajaipaul891 yeah i guess it could but idk their teeth are quite spread out and obviously pointy it might be hard for it to position the line perfectly between two teeth to break, unlike a human whose teeth have no gaps.
Imagine if there was a 100 dollar bill just casually attached to the line in hiding near the lake later on lol
Oh thank God. The alligator did not go for the Kid. Those are my words.
Florida gators specifically the ones in central don’t bother ppl they just be chilling
How dare you selfishly take words for yourself!
That gator took the fish and the whole damn pole too!!!!
Oh he could’ve easily done that
@@coreymiller6717 because those where my feelings, my first thought when I saw the video. Yet I am not a parent yet but my instincts were screaming “Please no not the kid.” The alligator might be used seeing people but small people may just looked different to them. It you think my comment is bad then I can’t image what others comment will be like to you.
And there kids, is how fishing rods end up in rivers.
I live in Florida and this is truly real
Dad: I know there's gators in here but you go on son, I'm gonna hang back.
That kid will be careful around florida waters and more prepared if he ever encounters a gator, or other danger, in the future. He didn’t cry like a little baby. He reacted better than most young men these days. And that’s a tiny gator that wants nothing to do with the bigger human in front of him.
Constant safety is not how you raise quality young men.
@@imissdetroit yes you are right but thats kid is luck because it is a little gator..
Yeah he wanted a daughter anyway
@@imissdetroit ok try explaining to his mom what happened to him when you drive home alone. See what she thinks about your philosophy
That was my thought
Forget the gator. If mama sees this your gonna have an even more dangerous creature to deal with 🙍♀️👩🔧
Hope the dad finished working on that secret bomb shelter😂
That gator is too big to still be being raised by the mother gator.
@@mikeroper5917 I ment the baby's mother 😂
@@Mob187 oh yeah that's true. Now the emojis make sense lol. I live in Florida and am always worried when I hear my son is fishing while he's with his older half bro and his uncle.
@@mikeroper5917 gator country 😎
Should nickname the Alligator Debo. 😅
Alligator: My fish now.
Dad: Why you tripping. Give my son back his fish.
Alligator: ( Eats Fish) What Fish? ( Swims away)
Smartest Florida dad 💀💀
That gator was like, “thanks buddy, I’ve been chasing this thing around all day!” 😮
And now it's also got a rod to make catching them easier in the future. It's a 2-in-1 catch, baby!
Guy apparently isn't from Florida. He's damn lucky the fish is all it got.
Oh yeah
But he also took the fishing rod 😂
The Pope L
@MyMotif no, it just means that they are use to being in contact with humans, but you would be a fool to think you are safe
@MyMotif yes they are wild but in FL people live in their habitat, so the gators are used to seeing people, it doesn't mean they won't attack
He really wanted the rod and reel the fish was a bonus. 😂
After he stole it, he was like "What you gonna do about it?"
Never be down by the water at sunset. That’s when alligators are active. Very lucky the boy wasn’t grabbed!
My thoughts EXACTLY 💯
Coz the Gator is in front of the boy the whole time, see that dark shadow about 5' off the shore. I guess they weren't expecting or watching for them.
@@davidboydarnott417Yes, i saw that shadow too. 😮
By a gator half his size?
Don’t be near bodies of water in Florida PERIOD.
That gator was definitely big enough to eat that kid, and to think it was lurking in the water so closely and they didn’t even know it. Very sobering.
Same way the Russian bearZ team 6 hides underwater off of Odessa
How's it going to eat something that is bigger than itself?
No he wasn't
@firstname lastname LOL Imagine not even comprehending that that baby is most likely FAR from the only alligator in that lake. Where there's a baby, there's a mama. Also, alligators are all muscle. A small boy would be no match at all for an alligator of that size. All it needs to do is pull that boy into the water and the boy will drown very quickly. Tell me you know nothing about alligators without telling me you know nothing about alligators.
Clearly y’all have not watched videos on how gators eat. They do the death roll and rip the victim limb for limb. The gator was big enough, research it. Doesn’t mean the gator would eat him all at one time. Jeeze lol
I don’t live in FL, but I thought they told people not to stand to close to swamps like that. That whole scenario looks absurdly dangerous
I grew up in GA and even there they teach you not to get close to the water. Dude's lucky he didn't lose his kid.
Father: *sees alligator near his son*
Father: oh no, anyways 📱
His son did what he was supposed to do. So at that point...what should the father do? Pick up huis son and run screaming and never go back? Okay...
He a boss he didn't panic
I was thinking the same thing...safety first..that alligator could of grab his son real quick and pulled him under the water
@@harrismichelle77i
The son is MUCH faster on land than that gator and got away as soon as he came out the water. That kid could have picked up that gator.
What was the dad gonna do? Pick up his son (AFTER HE ALREADY GOT AWAY FROM THE GATOR) and run screaming for his life? The hell?
They were both completely fine.
Every one has their own opinion and I wouldn't trust that...gators are predatory animals and I wouldn't let my child be that close to the water regardless
That is one smart kid. “Nope! You can have the fish Sir.” 😂
And the pole. Take the whole damn contraption and bait.
And welcome to the rod!
Alligator: "You want your fish? Come get it, I dare you. By the way borrowing your fishing pole. I'm gonna catch my own fish"
@@OverRule1 lmaoo
I was hoping that it would snatch that kid
