Amazing how so many of us came looking for this song after the same shared TV shows: The Accountant, Blacklist, Suits and now True Detective. Love it 😍❤

LYRICS: Daylight come Daylight go How far will it reach Ain't nobody know And when the dawn breaks The cradle will fall And down will come baby Cradle and all Now I know you need the dark Just as much as the sun But you're signing on forever When you ink it in blood A.E.I.O.U.E.I.O.U.A.E.I.O.U.I. I used my state of the art Technology Now don't you forget it It ain't using me Cause when the power goes out I got over me Cause the powers going out I mean the powers going out I mean it the powers going out I really mean it the powers going out
I first heard this song on the accountant. For some reason, I watched that movie on repeat for awhile....and got very familiar with just the first 2 verses. I had no idea how it progressed after that. I finally saw the whole song on YT. And that's when I heard one of the most satisfying guitar riffs (3/4 of the way thru), and deeply deeply cool drums at the end. A bonanza of musical reward at the end! Love it!

My latest favorite. Thank God for movie and TV show soundtracks. One of the best ways to find good songs these days. Because the radio doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, does it?
I fell in love with this song years ago, after hearing it on the Blacklist. Tonight I'm rewatching Elementary again and forgot this was the 2nd time I've heard this song on anything. Jim James has such amazing voice and hidden talent.
@@AT-ki8jzAs someone that feels people give S1 more credit than it deserves, I must agree that this isn't on the same level as S1. Hopefully it gets better though. 🤞
@zornu They set up a really interesting mystery and a cool location with the research station, but then they spent more than half the episode on other things away from that. It was disappointing. I think all that side stuff is going to ultimately turn out to just be filler. They really should have focused on the main mystery more.
@@AT-ki8jzIt probably won't live up to the greatness of that first season, but I think it's awesome that they're harkening back to the original material, with the Yellow Sign and Tuttle references.
You work on a song. You make money selling records and not only that, the song grows to play in not just one but "multiple" films. On top of everything else the song is so unique that first time listeners from around the globe go looking for it to hopefully get the name and hear it again. Now that is living the dream.
Eva Hendrickson Zack Life it's when Liz finds all Tom's passports and cash under the floorboards. Sorry I don't remember the exact episode, but it's in first season. :)

I saw Jim James and Twin Limb live yesterday at The Palace and his music gave me an experience I will never forget. The lights, the music, and everything was just so unreal. His music had 50-60 y.o's dancing like crazy and his music had everyone up on their feet just feeling his music. I love the old school groovy with a new school twist.
