@@InsaneFrame the problem is, there aren't that many poison options in the game to begin with. Sure, there is a poison legendary effect that can spawn on all weapons, but that is just a bonus to the regular damage. Poisoned caltrops are similar. They do poison damage, and regular damage from stepping on the spikes. So not poison only. Radscorpion venom syringes and acid soaker are indeed the only "poison only" option. And they are bad. But a syringer run itself is interesting. Stuff like paralysing darts, frenzy darts, and much more silly things.
I’m surprised no one mentioned the acid soaker from Nuka World (acid/poison damage, works on all enemy types, crap damage, extremely expensive and material intensive ammunition, but still way better than the syringer.) Also, for melee, instead of gun bashing with the syringer (not actual poison damage) use Kremvhs Tooth, it is the only melee weapon in the vanilla game with poison damage with a set spawn location.

Doubly So because it also causes bleedout type damage. Instead, they were more of a commodity if you will... to uh... to further the experiments in poison and other endeavors... We need the funds people!! This was a very interesting run, they did poison and fire dirty in this game unfortunately. And yet the enemies that dealt poison can end you pretty good because theirs is much stronger.
Ohhoh man Syringer runs are brutal, thanks for the patience. It was actually a really good idea to set up a radscorpion farm in beginning, shame the drop rate is so low. Another great run earned! Also the editing is much less intrusive.

You could stench it a bit and say the broadsider counts as artillery should you be inside or in a unavoidable artillery dead zone.

"But how can you tell the difference between elemental and non-elemental DoT?" If you can acquire anything that gives you resistance to its damage type, it's either standard damage or "elemental" damage. You can acquire resistance to energy damage (which includes cryo damage and the direct damage inflicted by fire damage weapons), fire damage (which is only the DoT effect inflicted by fire weapons), poison damage (which is all but impossible for the player character to resist in any meaningful capacity, but almost all non-human enemies have massive resistances against), radiation poisoning damage (which is different from radiation damage. Radiation poisoning damage inflicts damage in the form of rads, and is affected by Radiation Resistance, while radiation damage is much more rare and inflicts damage that cannot be resisted), and standard damage.
If it wasn't stupid hard to craft the ammo on the syringer, it could be an interesting gun. Couple it with Chemist to extend the effects of the gun to do more damage, berserk for longer, etc, and it would've been neat
There's a mod out there that adds a bunch of extra turret blueprints including all the base game versions so if you don't mind having that one mod on you could build mark 7 turrets in sanctuary ya know the explosive ones
If only there was a way to have a low damage weapon with the Poison Effect, like something similar with Skyrim. Also Yes, Dogmeat is a Good Fluffy Doggo 🐕
In the dungeon with the weird quarry flashbacks the sword in the water tunnel is a poison sword I believe I just started the video however so you may have learned this
I feel like people still would have complained. It's technically a machete blade mod, and even if he found something like a Poisoner's Machete I think it's called to switch it to for a legendary version boost. It's still primarily physical and bleed damage and people seem to be losing their mind over bleed even though it's basically just a poison effect, so it seems like it just gives them double reason to lose their minds.
it is possible but im going to redo the poison run as admittedly I bended the rules in this playthrough so we've got 2 more poison videos coming out as a sort of redo to this!
Was this video using stability mods or pure vanilla, cuz I'm having fps issues on vanilla and my pc is only a year old? Other yt vids I seen had disturbing amounts of fps drops, close to 10!

Bleedout is not poison so by using bleedout instead of the venom ammo you failed because bleedout is not poison.
