- Welcome one and all to another challenge we go back to new vegas and decide to use only craftable weapons and armour at a workbench so without any further delays let us begin!

Cool thing about MFC Cluster grenades is that they're mines, so they don't blow up until a enemy walks toward them, you could essentially spam a ton of those and crash the game with a giant explosion
However, unlike normal mines, you can toss them as far as grenades and they explode on impact and any that don't explode can be collected as MF Grenades.
Just a FYI there is craftable armor through survival :) gecko backed leather and metal armor I believe! Makes me want to try this out for myself
Appearently you need Green Gecko leather to make it so it Zion bound.. but if you are willing to detour, is alright armor.
Those are not crafted at the workbench, but at the campfire, for some reason.

@@Subject_Keter my guess is that Zion contains much more fireplaces than it does workbenches, given the whole "primitive tribes" feel. So it's to make the armor fit the work-station that is most common in that area?

Can you beat New Vegas as Sunny Smiles? Use primarily bolt-action rifles, get the dog ASAP and run its questline, heal with Campfire stuff. Feast on gecko steak and heal limbs with the weapon binding ritual, rather than stimpacks and doctor's bags. Should change the dynamic, at least.

Old world blues I think really encouraged me to use the work bench and the mad bomber perk also did.
Some possible tips for people attempting this challenge: Fat mines. Fat mines are part of the Mad Bomber perk and therefore legal under this. Between that and time bombs it's possible to lay traps for the Legate's reinforcements. Carefully positioned in fact you can also lure the Legate himself into a fat mine and blow him to shit.
Secondly, manufactured armor should be legal, and there is gecko hide armor you can make off of work benches. That too can be very useful.
Third: Even if you don't want to use speech, getting on the Brotherhood's good side long enough to get the keycards and blow up the bunker that way is a much easier time of it. Then you just have to run out the door without bothering to kill anyone and boom you're done.

I tried this 2 months ago. MFC grenades, gecko metal armor, and a super heated knife. It was a brutal slog getting all of that, but got pretty easy after that

This one looks interesting. Different concept from other challenge runs; I like it. I think explaining what the weapons do would help keep engagement.
True, dogtag fist is a unarmed weapon, as for grenades we used mad bomber which is a lvl 6 perk getting makeshift plasma grenades
@@InsaneFrame yep. I think explaining it could help divide the video between a “before able to attack” and “after the ability attack” pieces. It’s a nice little divider and sets the tone for the rest of the video. Just a suggestion though.
Dead Rising 2 was the first game I played in the series. I might give it another run also, very clever given the premise here. Keep the challenges and content going good sir!

Yep one the easier weapons to get actually a decent weapon tbf
If i were to do this, id make one exception to the rules and allow myself to scavenge armor off my enemies. sure it makes it less hard in terms of staying alive, but i haven't played fallout new vegas all that much so I don't have your chaotic level of confidence yet.
Its okay to be fair the main way to combat the difficulty is preparation

Makes me wonder if there a good functioning zombie mod for NV, if there is sneak a camera in and go west for the best results.
@@Subject_Keter I think the closest NV zombie mod we have is that cod zombies one sadly, though fallout 4 I know has a zombies mod.
You and Mitten Squad are like the Yin/Yang of Fallout challenges. He uses exploits and glitches, but his videos are about the journey not necessarily if you can complete the challenge. You videos are the opposite, 100% all in on completing the challenge.
This is a awesome challenge if you allowed yourself to use the campfire as well as a workbench it might have made it slightly easier cuz you can make armor

Hmm. I have a challenge. Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as a tribal? From spears to knives, as well as relying on the environment for resources. Putting your survival skills to the test. I also say anything you make at a campfire is fair game, even the gecko leather armor.

This challenge gets more interesting if you do the DLCs, especially if you get Rawrs fist
You know, if you eliminate all BoS, you don't have to activate the self destruct for their bunker. They don't respawn, and that way you can loot their stuff, and use the bunker yourself if you want. It works regardless of who you're siding with
Also shockingly BOS reputation doesn’t even spike down from killing then as much as blowing up the bunker. I got only Smiling troublemaker at the end of it and Veronica still loves me.
It is Mo-ha-ve as it is of Spanish origin, but love the content. Been finding myself returning so I have subbed for more

I have a challenge suggestion, can you beat fallout 4 as "Jack the ripper" your Apparel will be the silver shroud armour and raider sack with hoses to remain anonymous and your weapon will be Pickmans blade as it inflicts bleed damage

Can you beat fallout 4 as an action hero?

>pistols and unarmed weapons only
>You must have a companion that acts as a sidekick(Same armor and weapon)
>must use jet to shoot anything because of the slow motion
>you can only use a black suit as armor
Bonus points if the pistol has a silencer and double bonus points if you make your character a reference to John wick
If there is a mod that allows dual wielding I think it would fit the challenges spirit to use it

plot twist this video is actually just the quest to find the last zombrex in Vegas
You should do just a full on craft able playthrough. That way you can use that gecko backed armor and make your own stimpacks etc
I got a challenge? Can you beat Fallout NV while being ultra lucky? You have to use Lucky revolver and get Crit kills on every third enemy or restart to checkpoint.
Also can you beat Fallout NV with Dragon Rounds? Hunting Shotgun loaded with burning rounds.

I played with gecko armor recently so I don’t think so but I could be wrong.
@@RenTheBean no, the unmodded game by itself only has the green gecko recipe, but can be made for both Leather and Metal armor variants.

Just started the video and I'm already like wait...if you can't wear armor because there are no craftable armors in the game, then why are you buying medicine from Doc Mitchell that you didn't craft yourself?
I realize now this was intended to be "workbench recipes" only but I think a challenge where you can only use crafted items (weapons, armor, medicine, food) would be quite interesting. Like you could loot ingredients and components but only use them for crafting. Some of the best crafting recipes are hidden in the DLCs.

you should have done any crafting station because I think there's some armors added by Honest Hearts that you can craft at a cooking station/camp fire
the gecko armour is crafted at a camp fire we only had access to the workbench but camp fire version coming soon
You could make geko armor at the camp fire, technically a workbench
we'll be doing that run as it's own thing
Tbh I kinda want to do a crafting only playthrough of FO:NV on xbox360 😅 [workbench, campfire, and reloading bench only]...
Maybe the “Fist of Rawr” is arguably one of the best available. Just requires a lot of grinding.

I'm not sure how this would work as a challenge but one thing I was wondering was 'Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Henry Stickmin?' I think the difficulty would come from the fact that Henry has multiple possible character arcs depending on how you complete Infiltrating the Airship and Fleeing the Complex (not to mention one of the paths in Completing the Mission allows for two alternate endings which I won't spoil).

Pretty close to an idea I had, but with campfires instead. Sure you can't make armor, but you can take leather armor from a dead guy and combine it with gecko pelts, so it counts. You just have to kill or find whatever you craft with in the world, no buying supplies that's fake and gay and dumb.

and i don't know if you are up to DLC challanges but i have been thinking about Dead money with only the Holorifle, it's the first weapon you get inte that dlc with little ammo for it at the start and don't really know if you can repair it without repairkits and lastly good video as always

Correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t you craft dark gecko leather armor or something like that from the workbench? I seem to remember doing a decently long hunt for geckos to craft that armor in a recent playthrough.
You need Green Gecko armor for it so if you are fine with going to Zion, it doablw.
So in literally 55 seconds into this video and have a question cause u said you cant make armour at a workbench which isnt 100percent accurate unless u only have the base game if u have the honest hearts dlc then u can actually make both leather and metal armor with fire resistance on it so I guess my question is do u only have the base game?
I believe your on about the gecko armour and yes we can but you need to craft it at a campfire so unfortunatley it goes against the rules as we can only craft our equipment at a workbench

@@InsaneFrame Makes sense, sad these are given by an ncr troop, especially when you use tags of the dead most likely and throw the actual tags away just for the chains on most, would have been better given by a legion member.

Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas Only Healing With Items Made On A Campfire? (Rough title, I know. How about Can You Beat FNV As A Cub Scout lol)
You can only heal/use drugs you can make on a campfire and you *have to* engage in combat and not be a pacifist.
Challenge for fallout 4 can you beat fallout 4 as a u.s soldier aka assault rifle wearing army fatigues and combat armor/army helmet
That not that bad. But i would allow the 10mm pistol and maybe a knife cuz getting a Assault Rifle may be hard.

Well interestingly we do have a modded item to help us out with this challenge in the near future as the US g.i used the legendary M1 grand so we'll be rocking that during that run no idea how it performs mind you

Dead Rising 1 guns only would be brutal and Dead Rising 3 guns only is too easy.

Can you beat Skyrim as Tony Stark? Basically beat Skyrim using only iron armour and weapons. You can Smith them better but no enchanting, because Tony doesn't do magic.
You could use fire magic to simulate his repulsors.
