It's the glucose in the food, you know, the magic chef lad; that's why new records are being made. Oh, the tail winds, it was never this windy back in my day!
At the Giro there wasn’t one of the top 30 pro tour riders We’ll see at the tour and i don’t think he will be as dominant as the cycling world predicts him to be. And where are the test results from 2014 and earlier? 🤔
When Team Sky won the Tour, it was obviously questionable. However, the numbers Pogi and Jonas are putting out make Team Sky look like pikers in comparison. This is Pantani level of doping going on today. Doping has always been existed in cycling, but the 90's and what is happening today is 2 or 3 levels up from the occasional steroid taken in the 80's. You have to watch the historical climbing times up the major mountains to know what is going on, which is why the Tour has been avoiding iconic climbs like Alpe-H'Duez. It would be too obvious who doped if they climbed it every year.
Tadej Dopegacar will be clean! So will Jonas Vingedope. Remcdope Evenepoel and Prioz Dopelič also stand a chance to take a stage or two. But this tour belongs to the anchovy and pogi. BEST dopers will win!
I agree with your comments but, why do we eagerly give Greg LeMond a pass? If you look at his history, the shotgun issue, and his miraculous recovery after?!! Yeah right...in this environment, what are the chances Mr. LeMond was racing clean? Yup...zero.
Really hard to get caught in competition these days. Dozens of big performance gains are either not listed at all, or are only on watch lists, other controlled substances are micro dosed and incredibly difficult to detect, and other stuff is banned but not tested for. It's easier than ever, with some kind of budget and doctors that aren't totally incompetent.
I totally agree, so it is crucial that they often do retesting so see if they can find banned drugs and masking agents in the samples, and if they find any then the riders will get punished. Armstrongs samples from 1999 were also retested from 1999 and they found EPO.
Microdosing really works well for not exceeding hormone balance/limits and hematocrit. But you can't take whatever you want in small amounts to avoid detection. The tests are far too sensitive for that. You need to take things that aren't detectable at all in functional doses while keeping your values under threshold limits
@@veganpotterthevegan Or take other substances to get rid of the traces before testing. I think if doping is widespread this is exactly what is being done. They are drinking something that breaks down the metabolites during the course of the race, and peeing them out before they arrive at the finish. At least, this is *one* of many plausible strategies. The other is cheating your "biological passport" since Day 1. Making it seem like your "baseline" is higher than the average, and keeping it around those higher-than-natural levels for every test after.
@@veganpotterthevegan a lot of stuff *is* functionally invisible to testing in small enough doses. things have changed. and you'd have to be completely brain dead to take older anabolics, catabolics, oestrogen inhibitors, EPO and growth factors during a tour, given the massive quantity of very effective and either undetectable or unsanctionable alternatives.
