This watch is, without a doubt, the most gorgeous timepiece I've ever seen (yeah, I'm a sucker for vintage designs). Simply stunning. Left me breathless (or maybe it was because I just got finished running 2 miles)... either way, this one is an absolute winner, thanks for bringing this one to us. Now I have to decide what to sell to get a hold of one of these.🤣
The BoR is the perfect choice for this piece, from those they’re offering, if you ask me. Dial looks great, you can clearly make out the "spider", with the vertical indices as the legs. The rectangular cyclops is an interesting touch. In regards to the clasp, what i found interesting, the forth microadjust is closer to the third than the third is to the second, so they aren’t evenly spaced. Maybe it’s due to adding a forth one and there wasn’t enough space? Overall, I like the piece, the crystal has a really nice distortion, which is great for a vintage piece. Lug shape adds interest aswell. In General the case shape looks awesome. Thanks for the review.

However I am pleased to see 4 rather than 3, as one can get the perfect fit. The beads of rice bracelet feels very comfortable and low profile; thinner than a Jubilee bracelet. I also like the low profile case shape as the head feels well balanced rather than being top heavy. Regards, #WR4K
Just got mine, 06-06-2023. It is absolutely gorgeus. I went for the tropic rubber strap, and it suits the watch very well. The Vario Harris tweed strap also looks the business on it. As mentioned in the video, there is some resistance when winding. Compared to others of my watces (42-44mm) it is small. But bigger would have taken the elegance away in my openion. The only thing I would change is the magnifier. It distorts the view to the nice black frame around the date window. At some point I mayby will get the crystal changed. Keep up the very good work WR4K🙂🙂🙂
I pre-ordered this watch last year and received it about 6 months ago. I love the vintage vibe. I found it difficult to set at first, due to there not being a minute track around the outside. But I learned to use the lines on the dial and now it's fine. Also, I went with the leather strap (which is too casual looking for the watch), because the Forstner bracelet is a $150 upcharge. Instead, I bought the bracelet directly from Forstner for $125, saving $25.
I purchased this watch, which is indeed strangely beautiful, but the customer service from Nivada Grenchen has been atrocious. The crown made grinding sounds when wound and was bizarrely stiff, so I wrote to them to ask about returning it for a repair since it's under warranty. It took at least 10 e-mails before they finally agreed to take it back and have a look. It's now been with them for several weeks and my two e-mails requesting an update have so far gone ignored. Really a disappointing experience which confirms to me that I won't buy another watch from them.
I do, however disagree with regard to the clasp. At the very least they could have offered the option for a milled clasp to those who want it. A pressed clasp at €930? I thought that was exclusively Seiko's purview..
Thank you for watching. It isn't possible to improve the lume due to the dots, and dauphine hands. There is a limit to the amount of lume that can be applied. With applied indices, and Mercedes hands, 5-6 layers of C3 or BGW9 can be applied to give better performance. However as this is a heritage reissue of the original 1960's Antarctic Spider, it has to stay true to its design. Regards, #WR4K

Oooooh.. this is very unique looking. A bit outside my budget, but it's lovely. It's great to see watch makers design outside the box a little bit
