Oleg I bought this very same model late last year! I love it! I didn’t go with that bracelet but went with the infinitely adjustable link bracelet from that era! Fantastic watch band. I’ve also heard of troubles with the movement but to date it’s been perfect. 👌🏼 Maybe a bit expensive, but it’s got history.

Hello sir, just received mine. On your video, I do not notice any color difference between the lume materiel on the hands et the lume material on the indexes. On mine, the visual difference is huge and it kills the balance
Before you buy a Nivada, be aware that their customer service is appalling. I own two of their watches, including the Antarctic Spider, which they've had for three months to repair and totally ignore my numerous e-mails asking for an update. I would never again buy a watch from these people.

@Eugene Zheng The crown didn't wind properly, made a grinding sound. After several attempts to convince Nivada, they finally acknowledged it was defective, took it back, said they were going to repair it, and now have ignored my last five e-mails asking for an update.
Same experience here. Horrible customer service period. It took 3 weeks get the reply email and they thought their products are same quality as “ROLEX” but not even close. 😢
This is starting to sound like a trend with watches using the Soprod Movements. I just read that a few people who own the Serica Divers are having a similar issue with their watches.
I am in total agreement with you about their customer service. I returned two Super Antarctic watches due to poor quality control. Support ignored many of my emails, and I will not purchase anything else from Nivada Grenchen.
First, this is really a field watch. Now, that said it is a good daily eear watch. Exceptional really.
I was attracted to these when they first came out, but I was afraid it would be too small for me. I was able to score one almost exactly like your example except with gilt markers and aged lume off eBay for a decent price and tried it out.
It's VERY easy to wear and I found myself after a couple months wearing it more and more.
I was initially attracted to the tropic 3,6,9 dial and it was kinda bugging me that I didn't get that dial. 😐
So, anywayz, one of those popped up, so I bought it too!!!
Arrives tomorrow. So then I'll have a choice to make. Keep both, or sell one on? I'll wear both for a little bit and then decide.
Overall it's a bewitching little watch that is the kind of watch you wear when you're not sure what watch to wear! If that makes any sense?
Frequently compared to the Explorer, but also very reminiscent of a Smith's Everest. If you had either of those this might be redundant. 😊

Good choice! Mine arrived totally dead, put on the timegrapher after a full wind and no life. Nivada has yet to respond to my message from over three weeks ago. Sent it back to the AD for a refund, but lost out on my shipping to and from ($70). Worst watch buying experience ever.
Agree, and was my exact thoughts.
CW just released a new retro inspired GADA/Field watch today. It has similar specs, but based on pics/video it seems to be finished to a higher standard.
@Eugene Zheng I've had nothing but good experiences with them, but I've heard a few stories of issues. I suspect like any brand, the bad stories get more traction than the good.
@Eugene Zheng I once returned a CW simply because it didn't appeal to me and they took it back without any delay or resistance and quickly reimbursed my money.

I ordered this watch in the preorder in November of 2021. Returned two due to QC issues. Customer support is completely unacceptable. The purchase experience was a nightmare. Wil not purchase anything else from Nivada Grenchen. They don't value their customers.

I never heard of this brand before and have no idea if it is any good or not without being able to try it on. The 1000-dollar watch price is extremely competitive and I think you can get much better for the same price as the watch market is kind of soft you can get some good discounts.
Get a Tissot Automatic or a Hamilton

This is the age where people complain that Seiko is too expensive. It’s amazing how much some microbrands ask for average at best watches. Not all of course, there are some that offer great value for great watches. Nivada is not one of them.

Now that is a shiny watch looks ok but I’m not keen on super shiny designs
The bracelet is made by Forstner. You can get the same exact bracelet without the Nivada logo for much much less. Absolute money grab.
For anyone familiar with a Mercedes hand, this hour hand looks unfinished and out of place. I couldn't live with it.

Overpriced crap watch. Don't be fooled. This brand is not what it used to be.
