Nice watch. More alike to the Seiko Alpinist my choice for a mountaineering watch because of its water resistance, navigation complication and relative low price in case of the inevitable mark left from a bump on the rocks.

Another amazing video!!! I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on this watch. I find it so well balanced and attractive. Nevertheless I still have a couple of doubts. In the video you report 200 mt wr while the official web site declares 100 mt. I've heard 200 mt also somewhere else. Can you confirm the correct data? Additionally, did you have the chance to try the movement, the SOPROD 024? Is it the no date version, meaning that the crown doesn't have the annoying ghost position? Thank you very much...looking forward to watching you next videos!!

I wanted to share my recent experience with purchasing the Nivada 3-6-9 watch. Unfortunately, my order was not fulfilled as expected. I placed the order a month ago, but the watch was never shipped out, leaving me disappointed and frustrated.
After waiting for a long time, I decided to contact customer care to inquire about the delay. However, I was met with a rude and unhelpful response. I have already requested a refund, and I hope it will be processed quickly, hopefully faster than the shipping time that was advertised.
I feel that it's important to share my experience to inform others who might be considering purchasing from Nivada Grenchen. While the Nivada 3-6-9 watch seems like a great product, my experience with the customer service and shipping times has not been satisfactory.
Thank you for reading, and I hope this helps you in your decision-making process.

Hi Brave Beaters. Thanks for the video. I’ve been looking for a decent field watch that I can use as a daily (was considering Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical). But wasn’t loving the dial. But Super Antarctic is amazing. I’m loving the symmetry. I’m considering the white dial variant with Beads of Rice bracelet and using your code for the brown leather strap. Just waiting to get confirmation from Nivada that the white colour hands is the same as the white hour markers. I’ve seen comments that it might be different.

This is a beautiful watch Andrei. Congratulations.
It's interesting that as collectors we're happy to own ᴍᴜʟᴛiᴘʟᴇ dive watches - but try getting us to own multiple Exploring watches!!
I wonder why that is? Anyway, I'm happy you're keeping both. I won't be parting with my Alpinist (SPB123J) either - whether I decide to pick this up *or* stay on the Ranger list. The Alpinist is one of my ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ pieces, and on its aftermarket jubilee (plus all the polished facets on the case) it looks more like a DJ than an Explorer.
I didn't even know this watch ᴇxɪsᴛᴇᴅ before seeing this; all my attention's been going to Nivada's Chronomaster and Antarctic Spider - both of which I like too. A lot.
But *real* explorering watche? Love 'em! They're so...wearable. And they suit my lifestyle perfectly. As much as I love chronographs, they're mostly a 'second watch'...
So I've paid a deposit and I'm on the list for a Ranger, supposedly on track for September, but I'm going to really look into this Nivada. I
ʟᴏᴠᴇ the Forstner Oyster style bracelet option, I love that it's 'under the radar' (I think the Ranger will be ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴡʜᴇʀᴇ, just like the BB58 is. I'd be happy to avoid the hype if the Super Antarctic is ʀᴇᴀʟ alternative).
So thanks for the review man. I got some deciding to do! ✌🏼️

Very much agree that the 'expedition', or 'mountaineering' as you say, watches are different in various ways from the lower-standard 'field' watch, which was perhaps to be a tradeoff of least-worst design to given to everyone on the front lines digging every trench (and arguably defined back when it was not thought a low cost standard watch could perform better; 1930's water resistance was to a much lower standard, lume and screw down crowns and automatic movements, were not what they are today). Expedition watches on the other hand are more 'must not fail' under a variety of extreme conditions AND being wearable for daily and formal conditions. The real watch Edmond Hilary wore up Everest was even more versatile than today's extra-masculine-for-show "explorer" redesign (which itself is markedly less absurdly 'hyper trough looking' than most other watches in recent times (even just the size)). No one in their right mind should wear a 15mm thick show-dog watch with an exhibition caseback on an antarctic expedition (though sadly they may not have a choice if that's all people make). Please keep making and reviewing real useful time pieces. Time is vital.

Keep the Rolex! My Nivada Antarctic arrived after a 3 month wait only to find it was totally dead on arrival. The watch would take a wind but the timegrapher showed no life. Sent back to the AD for a refund, minus my shipping costs both ways, so a somewhat costly mistake, especially since I sold two other watches to get this one. Nivada needs to step up their QC if they are going to play in the game. Two weeks on and no response from Nivada to my message, so definitely lacking in the customer service area.

You will not get rid of Rolex because of its status status. The Nevada has little status. The Rolex is mostly hype . What the masses says . There are many watches just as good or better than Rolex. When you think about the money charged for a Rolex new or used, there nothing real about it. It is pure B.S. The thought someone might admire you for the watch you wear is just plain sick.
