Eminem and Nate Ruess worked on this song for a while changed some stuff and made it the chorus.

OK, now I know Nate doesn't like to throw away clothes, cuz his outfit looks the same as in the NWL video :) Sorry had to smile over that.....wish this song had made it onto an album. Headlights is ok, but really not a fan of rap and want more of Nate's incredible voice & lyrics.

saw it in an interview, I'm pretty sure he didn't at all. He really never let anyone even change the lyrics, until one of his guys had eminem listen cus they all thought he would love it, and he did and they had him do wat he wanted and stuff, something like that

The band didn’t think it fit their genre. Nate pitched it to producers he was hanging out with. One if them said, Eminem will like it.
I do like Headlights, bought it as soon as it was released, but I think I like Jumping the Shark better just because it's straight from Nate and it's what he wanted it to be. Eminem's half is great too, but I prefer Nate's.
Two different person two different music style, one of them is rapper and other one is not rapper. So, how can you compare two different singer?

When I found out that my favourite singer and my favourite rapper were collaborating I was OVER THE MOON. And it was so worth it, this song is stunning.
