Eminem and Nate have a mutual friend, that also produced the Headlights beat, that's how they got in touch and made the song. You can say it's an edit from this song. Also note that this song was inspired by John Lennon's song 'Mother', which has a similair beat.

Nate's tender amazing voice adds so much emotion to Em's song. Admit that I just lost it when Nate's second chorus hit.What a combo!
I've listened to, and love both, but I still prefer this way more than headlights. It's a shame it was never recorded in a higher quality or sang much again, but to be honest I doubt it will ever be re-done as the original.

This was played at a show in 2010 in the UK where they played Aim & Ignite start to finish. It was originally intended to precede The Gambler, but similarly to Some Nights they wanted to keep it to a 10 track album.

it's so weird my friend was playing the Eminem album the other day and i knew about headlights but i had never heard the whole thing, and at the bridge where Nate sings i literally screamed cos jumping the shark lyrics
