I find it weird how organic and natural this cover sounds. It's almost like the track was made to be played on an electric guitar. And I find it with many synthwave tracks that they sound awesome on electric guitar
Late reply but, I'm pretty sure most of Brut's tracks are played on guitar live :)
I've seen the live videos and there is a guitarist I'm pretty sure he's using a synthesizer pedal to get the effect sounds.
Synth and Metal are surprisingly close. Lots of Lorn's stuff sounds great on guitar.
CB's songs are actually based on metal guitar playing. I think he plays the guitar.
Really late, but Synth artist tend to have some background with metal. And for Brut, he mostly compose in a similar way as you would compose for metal, mixing synth and metal to get his dinstinctive sound.
i absolutely love how this sounds like some sortof, a boss theme, for some enemy that is a universal destroyer, it has that badass theme with the metal,and yet it has that tone where it just radiates 'if you fuck this up, everything is over for everyone.'

I came upon this accidentally after listen to CB's original for the 1000th time, and I gotta say in NO disrespect to the original - this just has THAT much more aggression that I love. Such a good cover man.
Since Rich's covers metalify the original work, and Turbo Killer was already a lvl 80 greatsword, this cover pretty much turned it into a spiky, oversized, greatsword-club-axe that shoots explosive lasers. Noice!

So, it basically became Guts' sword.
