Having watched it way too many times: The masked rider uses the souls of special women to bond with as his 'vehicle' - when he senses that a woman with a 'car soul' is in danger of being corrupted, he drives out to save her, even though this means he'll lose the soul of his current car. But you can see when the old soul takes his hands that she's okay with this - because the new car soul should not be turned into something evil. The soul of his current car is wounded in the battle, and in order to keep his car intact and to save the new girl from future danger, he bonds with her at the engine of the rose-cross. The bad guys are motivated by jealousy and lust - they too want a car with a soul - but since there is only one masked rider, they choose to corrupt her spirit by drowning her in the exhaust of their cars - and you can see, it actually starts to work. But just the ENCOUNTER with the masked rider fully awakens her soul, and the conversion to evil is prevented. They chase him with the hopes of killing his car before he can bond with the new soul - the result of which is currently unknown, but one could infer that if the old soul died before the new one was bonded, that the masked rider might also die/be far more vulnerable. And if this were a movie, I would never stop watching it.

Story: After losing a dear person, Vain tried to capture her soul in a Cristamonium diamond. What he doesn't know is that the diamond is not a portal to the other side but to a far away galaxy. When he uses it, he accidentally transports an alien princess to Earth. But her mother, queen of an entire galaxy, sends a brutal mercenary known as Burning Void to retrieve the princess. After a battle on the higher orbit, Void and Vain get new paths to follow and the two galaxies are changed forever.
Let's just face the fact that leaving Synth's behind in the 90's was a bad call. I have friends telling me that music has all been done, it's just a case of repeating sections from older tracks in a slightly different arrangement but I feel the surface hasn't even been scratched on this flavour of Synth.
Absolutely agree. Teo guys on yt who call themselves Melodica Bros make awesome covers of all styles on various songs snd the ones I really enjoy are Synth covers.
leaving synths behind in the 90s? We never left synths behind. They're in most songs you hear nowadays. If you have a problem with music today, don't listen to mainstream music.
Synths had a falling off since the early eighties, yes ofc they are still used all the time, but keeping them front and center? Explicitly as their own instrument? Nah, that definitely fell off, didn't last much longer than disco tbh.
After watching this and Blood Machines, anyone feels like we need to see more stuff produced by Carpenter Brut and Seth Ickerman? This is peak retrowave/cyberpunk aesthetic
I think the woman has been split in two, what remains of her good side is in the spaceship (upright cross at beginning) and her evil side is trapped. When her evil side is freed by the gas mask man, it takes over and the ship is an inverted cross at the end.
Watch Blood Machines, Seth Ikerman film sorta supposed to be the sequel? I'd like to say it explains some things but I was none the wiser really. Just pretty ladies, boobs, weirdness and great music in space.
This gives me full body chills every single time. For me, there is no more perfect music video, and I am glad that this aesthetic is becoming more popular so that artists like Ickerman, Carpenter Brut and Perturbator can get more exposure. Not pumped for it to just become a trope to be wailed on by the big studios, be it music or film, though. The craftsmanship that went into this thing is phenomenal, and the effects are superb.
If you watched the BLOOD MACHINES movie you'll understand whats going on in the video. At 1:32 you can see the guy in a mask controlling her, the woman is the spirit of the car that was driven by the masked guy he uses her as a remote control, their goal was to rescue a trapped soul (the woman inside a prism). The woman who's rescued is a soul of a machine, a car for example. In blood machines space ships have souls and theyre all women. nvm my bad english.
i think the girl in white is the spirit of the car masked guy uses, girl in prism the spirit of spaceship they had, and they're sisters. masked guy somekind of mercenary/hired man to save her sister
@@hatchetmouth8211 I don't think there are any "good guys" in this little tale, everyone is vying for power represented in these women… including the women themselves. I like that the video provides a framework of a wild story but still leaves most of the plot up to your imagination.

I can't even believe that this masterpiece has only ~4 millions of views. It's really unfair. This video deserves at least ten times more of attention =/.
To the one Henchman who was smart enough to stop before the jump, hats off.
He's the new boss.
Violence, Speed, Momentum 🔪
Story: After losing a dear person, Vain tried to capture her soul in a Cristamonium diamond. What he doesn't know is that the diamond is not a portal to the other side but to a far away galaxy. When he uses it, he accidentally transports an alien princess to Earth. But her mother, queen of an entire galaxy, sends a brutal mercenary known as Burning Void to retrieve the princess. After a battle on the higher orbit, Void and Vain get new paths to follow and the two galaxies are changed forever.
bruh
Is that really it? weird(er).
Nitpicky, I know, but I would have preferred a normal(ish) chase without a weird love interest
for the cars curious here are the cars:
-Lamborghini miura and countach LP400
-Corvette C1
-Mustang coupé
-Mercedes 600
I don't see a Corvette C1 I see a C3 though
@@pelinalwhitestrake8195 i talked about the one with the group in the pursuit
I remember when this video had 3500 views. Amazing! The SynthWave is now Tidal.
lol nice way of putting it
tidal wave of nostalgia even just referencing that period of time
You know you've made an iconic music video when every time you come back to watch it you see comments that were posted minutes or hours ago.
Just say you have a problem with music and move on nobody left synth and music is just getting better
Exactly this. The most boring music is mainstream pop, nowadays.
Synths had a falling off since the early eighties, yes ofc they are still used all the time, but keeping them front and center? Explicitly as their own instrument? Nah, that definitely fell off, didn't last much longer than disco tbh.
i am listening to too much retro wave music. my blood is turning neon dude
After watching this and Blood Machines, anyone feels like we need to see more stuff produced by Carpenter Brut and Seth Ickerman? This is peak retrowave/cyberpunk aesthetic
I know. It's like that 80's movie that got banned for being too futuristic when you were a kid and all you saw was the preview.
@@kwayneg7 totally agree 😁

If you want more of this. Back this project!
HS, Thank you
Best synthwave music video I have ever seen!
Dark Synth = 👌
I grew a mullet just watching this
Me too. And I'm bald.
My sideburns came back too!
Nah this song gives you a cool mowhawk.
You gotta listen to Kavinsky to get your mullet fix.
@@sandakureva was more a reference to Dr.Disrespect to the style of the song.
This video still blows me away, every time! I have no clue what the meaning is but i still love it!
5 years. Happy birthday Turbo Killer 💜
I will listen to this song and watch this video at least a few times a week. It's just that good all around
So if you like this you can check theirs movie Blood Machies ruclips.net/video/jLHhr8Xc4AM/видео.html
I enjoy using this track on Audioshield.
Fuck yes! This is indeed my GO TO. I'm so swol punching balls to this song, lol
I always come back and watch this one a few times a year. It may possibly be the greatest music video ever made.
So what's the detective's role here? What is he after? I have a hard time believing the guy in the gas mask is the good guy.
@@hatchetmouth8211 I don't think there are any "good guys" in this little tale, everyone is vying for power represented in these women… including the women themselves. I like that the video provides a framework of a wild story but still leaves most of the plot up to your imagination.
Don't we see in Blood Machines that is is more likely that the "guy in a mask" is actually a gal?
It’s seems weird how many times I can watch this video over and over again over so many years. It is still my number one music video. Not sure I completely understand it…
Do you have watched blood machine ?
I feel the same way, LIKE.-
You’re not alone bro
@@etiennelebeauf5068 Blood Machine is absolutely amazing. Brut's sound track is fantastic, and Seth's work is a nightmare dream come to live and it's absolutely beautiful.
I just watched it two more times….
I want a movie out of this universe.

Wow I'm glad I commented! Didn't know about this, will back asap! Thanks Esa!
Was going to comment the same thing. Thanks for the link Esa, that project looks INSANE.
I like seeing the Death Korps of Krieg getting some screen time.
at long last
Haha love this reference!
Had to revisit this again after hearing Seth's announcement of his new BLOOD MACHINES trailer! We did it guys!! Congrats to Seth and the team and we can't wait to see the full feature!! Link to the trailer since, if you liked this, you'll dig that too: ruclips.net/video/jLHhr8Xc4AM/видео.html
Soooo fucking excited! It looks insane!
Now that's an A E S T H E T I C that I can get behind.
It does go beyond the black rainbow!
God I wish this was a full-length movie, I would absolutely watch it
Good news for you friend, they made this music video into a 3-part miniseries called "Blood Machines".
@@dragonbalde43 That's correct.
This is the first in a short film series.
Possibly the best music video in the history of music videos.
couldn't agree more..
It's all down-hill from herein on........
