Baroon Pocket Dam, North Maleny in 4K

Baroon Pocket Dam was built across Obi Obi Creek and completed in 1989. Located between Maleny and Montville in the Sunshine Coast, Baroon Pocket Dam supplies drinking water to the region as part of the SEQ Water Grid.
It is an un-gated dam, meaning that when it reaches 100 per cent capacity, water flows over the spillway and safely out of the dam.
The dam offers a range of fantastic recreational facilities and you could easily spend the whole day exploring the shores and waterways. There are picnic tables, free barbecues and playgrounds for the kids making it the ideal spot for a get together with family or friends.
