- F.L.Y. is the longest flying coaster in the world and is a one-of-a-kind model from Dutch manufacturer Vekoma Rides Manufacturing B.V.
The ride features a long and complicated layout with a bunch of thrill to offer, including airtime, which is quite unique for a coaster hanging under the track. It also features one of the most well-themed experiences of any coaster in the world in the very fleshed out Rookburgh area of Phantasialand.

Hahah, I'm from Finland and I pressed the "translate" button on this comment, it translated the "launch" to "Tuoda markkinoille", which translates word to word: "Bring to the markets". So it translated that "launch" to mean like launch a company/product:D Idk why doesn't it just translate it to "laukaisu" which is the exact translation of launch to Finnish😆
This is my favorite coaster ever. Sure, it’s not the fastest or craziest, but it’s an exceptional experience. You are completely immersed in this land both as a bystander watching and while on the coaster. I’ve been on it 3 times now. The first time, some people don’t know exactly what to think about it, but once you understand that it’s not about looking ahead to see what’s next, but to rather sit back and enjoy, it gets way better. Front row is the best! 🎉
Agree with your review. It’s not my favourite cos of the uncomfortable flying position but I can’t help marvel at how awesome the entire coaster is, and how it interacts so harmoniously with the enchanting Rookburgh world
It's not for everyone's preference, but it's absolutely a masterpiece

i LOVE this ride! its my favourite rollercoaster while i didnt expect to like it alot, i really liked the part before the first launch (wont spoil for any people who havent ridden) and the part where you suddenly fly closely above a roof, the airtime is very fun and the sharp helixes near the balloon and the second launch is just awesome! and i havent even begun on the theming, as a guy who likes theming over coasters, this coaster is perfect, great review, AMAZING rollercoaster, cant wait to ride this coaster again, also i reccomend riding this ride in the front row, in the rain, its awesome!

Thanks so much for your insights. This made me so scared HAHA I promised my friends i'd go on at least one thrill coaster at Phantasialand, since the only one I've done is the GCI Woodie in Efteling, last row! And while it was fun the first drop immeaditely made me grey out which was TERRIBLE. No idea what that force was (maybe someone here has a clue) but I am NOT trying to find out if exists on F.L.Y. :) I was convinced after one of them told me "FLY is not that much more intense than Colorado Adventure in the front" But now I think I am being lied to :D In hindsight i've never done a coaster which I regretted riding, at the end I always think "Wow that was so terrifying but much fun", it kinda feels like airplane turbulence which I love.

To be honest, F.L.Y. isn't much more intense than Colorado Adventure, in my opinion, but mostly because Colorado is such a wild ride for its type. Since you haven't had regrets so far, I have a strong feeling you wouldn't regret riding F.L.Y. either, since it gives such a unique experience.

Because when you start dropping from a lifthill and you're in the last row of the train, you're getting air time, so negative g and you shouldn't be able to grey out from that:D
@@-AxisA- I didn't, I worded it wrong, I just felt an almost painful preassure to my upper body that made it impossible for me to breathe for a few seconds, that was really uncomfortable coupled with the intense "tummy tickles" I felt.

I found the locker system to work very well. You just gotta remember your locker number to find your stuff again quickly. But you get a wristband with a sensor that lets you open it again and it's pretty neat. And it's free, of course.
Taron is my prefered ride. But there're other rides that I still don't know if I prefer to FLY or not
I think it’s funny that many people called this a family coaster when it opened . I personally think it’s the most forceful coaster in the park

@@ericthomason8463 many people did when it opened . They said it looks slow and like a family ride lol . I’m always exhausted af after riding it
for me, in the first row, is not too forceful, less than Taron for example. But oh boy, in the last row is another history.
the tiny footprint of rookburgh (and FLY) really works in favor of this ride. It forced the designers to get really creative with the track layout, resulting in a pile of spaghetti where neither the rider nor the onlooker can easily tell where you go next, which makes it even more fun. It also makes all the near-isses feel more natural and less forced.

Syntes personligt bedre om Taron. Men F.L.Y. var helt klart en fed oplevelse. Så Wildfire, Taron, Untamed og Shambhala er nok de bedste jeg har prøvet
Kan også bedre lide Taron selv. Men må indrømme, at FLY er fejlfri.
Din top 4 er iøvrigt ekstrem solid!
